Remember that you need a fresh copy of AoE3, all updated (Steam will do that for you) in order to install the game. After that, you just download the patches to get the game up to date.
Make sure to keep the updater somewhere, because every once in awhile we will patch the game and you will have to run the updater to get the patch.

I also recommended to have the Chukchi and Tlingit, Apache, Comanche, Cheyenne civs with the Tlingit, Apache, Comanche in Native America and both the Comanche and Apache have history with the U.S while the Tlingit and Chukchi got trouble with the Russia with the Tlingit beaten by the Russian but the Chukchi made the Russian pay the high price for trying to colonize them

Age of Empires III — одна из прорывных стратегий, выпущенных Ensemble Studios в 2006 году. И до сих пор этот проект пользуется огромной популярностью среди олдскульных игроков. Если первые части легендарной серии были посвящены Древнему миру и Средневековью, то третья часть целиком направлена на Колонизацию Америки и Индии. Одним словом, добро пожаловать в Новое Время! Без сомнения, для игры было создано и немало модов, о которых мы и расскажем.
Age of Empires III — продолжение легендарной серии, уже давно ставшей для всех культовой. Игра была выпущена в 2006 году компанией Ensemble Studios, перед Halo Wars и закрытием студии. Если первые части великой серии стратегий посвящались Античности и Средневековью, то в третьей части разработчики решили познакомить нас с Новым Временем и погрузить в удивительный мир приключений. На этот раз мы отправляемся в великую эпоху Колонизаций. Правда и для рыцарей здесь нашлось немного местечка, учитывая то, что по сути сюжетная линия начинается в 1565 году.
Временная линия проходит аж до Наполеоновских войн, а значит нам будут доступны все эпохи того периода, вплоть до свержения Бонапарта Антифранцузской Коалиции. Сюжет же посвятили мальтийскому рыцарю Моргану Блэйку и его потомкам. Честно говоря, по мере прохождения самих кампаний можно столкнуться и с некоторыми фэнтезийными элементами, но сама игра, естественно, посвящена реальным событиям. Историческая часть просто обязана присутствовать, иначе это была бы уже не Age of Empires, а какая-нибудь Rise of Legends с итальянскими роботами и дирижаблями.
Графика была капитально улучшена, и теперь уже от двумерных элементов первых частей не осталось и следа. Всё двигается красиво и реалистично. Деревья покачиваются в разные стороны, по небольшим речкам проходят редкие волны, в бушующем море разглядываются рыбёшки и иные сущности. Да и каждое здание теперь получило уникальную анимацию. Каждый солдат выглядит качественно и порой напоминает живого человека. Одним словом, в плане графики и анимации игра находится на большой высоте.
В сражениях же и мини-кампании нам позволяют играть за 8 глобальных фракций. Нам доступны отважные Британцы, педантичные Французы, искатели приключений из Нидерландов, надменные Испанцы, грозные Пруссаки, миролюбивые Португальцы, яростные воины Российской империи и фанатичные Османы. Начинаем мы игру как правило с городского центра, а дальше уже всё по старой программе. Правда добавились и злобные нейтралы, с которыми предстоит сражаться во время освоения карты.
Позднее были выпущены и два дополнения, получившие названия The Warchiefs и Asyan Dynasties. Warchiefs была посвящена исключительно покорению Америки, а также были введены 3 новые индейские фракции — Сиу, Ирокезы и Ацтеки. Также появились и галуны, где можно нанимать ковбоев, бандитов и техасских рейнджеров, одним словом, персонажей из вестернов. В Asyan Dynasties разработчики ещё больше модернизировали игру и ввели 3 восточные фракции — Японию, Китай и Индию. Тематика была посвящена покорению Азии европейцами и яростным сражениям за каждый клочок восточной земли.
Без сомнения, игра обзавелась и моддерской базой. Если честно, глобальных модификаций на AoE3, как говорится, раз-два и обчёлся, но мы подобрали только самые лучшие из проектов. Многие моды зарождались и умирали. Другие же так и пребывали на стадии ранней альфы. Но те проекты, которые сегодня представлены в подборке, без лишних слов, можно назвать вполне играбельными. Большинство модов требуют наличия не только оригинала AoE3, но и всех остальных аддонов.
УСТАНОВКА МОДОВ
Моды на Age of Empires III устанавливаются по-разному, но в большинстве своём меняют файлы оригинальной игры. Перед тем как устанавливать какой-либо мод, тщательно читайте инструкции. Для установки некоторых модов есть даже особые туториалы, которые также можно найти на страницах Moddb.

Этот мод раньше назывался вовсе не так как сейчас, а Wars of Liberty. Но впоследствии командой было решено переименовать его в «Война тройного альянса». Что же это, собственно, за зверь такой? А это мод для Age of Empires III, представляющий 5 новых цивилизаций, уникальную новую культуру и многие другие новые функции геймплея. Мод фокусируется на войне, которую обозначает его название.
Нам доступна новая латиноамериканская культура вместе с 4 новыми цивилизациями: Бразильская империя, Парагвай, Аргентина и Великая Колумбия. Также на южноамериканском континенте присутствует и индейская фракция Тупи, с которой можно будет заключать договоры или разрывать их. У всех цивилизаций есть уникальные юниты, технологии, города, карты, лидеры, свой собственный ИИ и здания.
Все 14 оригинальных стран Age of Empires III также были переработаны, чтобы соответствовать периоду времени. Добавилось также бесчисленное количество всяких минорных народностей и племён, которых можно сделать либо союзниками, либо врагами. Новые карты также не заставили себя ждать и теперь погружают игрока в огромный мир войн и союзов конца XVIII столетия. Для проекта существует и особый аддон, добавляющий Гаитянское восстание, который можно скачать отдельно.

AoE3 — Revised стремится сделать игру более похоже на предшественников. Вот краткий обзор того, что вы можете ожидать от этого мода. Во-первых, здания и военно-морские подразделения больше не ограничены определенным числом — теперь вы можете построить как можно больше. С аванпостами почти такая же ситуация, да и поддерживать флот вы сможете настолько большой, насколько позволяет ваше население и ресурсы.
Здания теперь в два раза более устойчивы и обладают хорошей бронёй. Это также уменьшает игровой темп и позволяет проводить более длительные матчи. Форты и фабрики теперь можно строить, если игрок достиг требуемой эпохи. Произведена была и полная переработка системы лимита населения. Пехота стоит 1 очко, кавалерия 2, артиллерия 4 и наемные отряды теперь берут вдвое больше (всё-таки наёмники есть наёмники, отвязные парни!).
Трупам теперь требуется больше времени (300 с), чтобы распасться, что делает намного больше атмосферных сражений. Порою смотришь на всё это добро и кажется, что играешь в какой-нибудь Total War. Артиллерия также была переработана. Минометы и Мортиры больше не имеют ограничений, так что стройте их хоть сотню. Корабли и европейские цивилизации могут создавать пушки Гатлинга, начиная с индустриальной эпохи. Большая артиллерия теперь имеет минимальную дальность атаки, чтобы улучшить счетчики ближнего боя. Безусловно, этот мод заслуживает внимания окружающих.

Age of Dynasties — это тотально-конверсионный проект Age of Empires III TAD + WC об эпохе 1550-1750 (от позднего средневековья до эпохи раннего Просвещения), который будет сделан довольно небольшой командой разработчиков. После двух лет работы этот мод был полностью закончен. Вам может показаться, что она очень похожа на оригинальную игру AOE3, но я уверен, что вы можете найти множество новых функций, отличных от того, с чем вы давно знакомы.
Главная цель мода — включить 14 «новых» цивилизаций: британскую, французскую, австрийскую, прусскую, шведскую, испанскую, русскую, османскую, персидскую, японскую, минскую, маньчжурскую, индийскую и корейскую. Хотя большинство из них появилось в оригинальной игре, они получат много новых функций, которые даже сделали их похожими на новую цивилизацию.
