Как это не удивительно, но такая игра, как пинбол, является одной из старейших и начинает свою историю аж с 1871 (!) года, когда американский изобретатель Редгрейв запатентовал свое изобретение – «Усовершенствования в багателле». Этот момент и является рождением игры.
В игре наша задача, в общем-то, точно такая же, как и в классическом пинболе: набрать настолько большое количество очков, насколько это возможно. Для этого нужно управлять флипперами (лопатками) и манипулировать тем самым шариками.
Поле игрового автомата – это практически самостоятельный игровой персонаж. Ведь помимо того, что есть обычные зоны, в которые вы попадаете и получаете очки, еще есть Чужой и Хищник, которые стоят по краям справа и слева и еще один наполовину Чужой, вылезший из автомата.
Во время игры, если ваш шарик нажимает на определенные зоны, открываются миниигры. В одной из них, например, нужно решить головоломку поворачивая каменные колонны возле замка Чужих. В другой – быстро поворачивать кольцо, в которое можно как можно больше наловить шариков. Есть периоды, когда поле становится двухцветным и в этом режиме очков можно набрать больше, пока шарик не свалится.
В лучших традициях игровых автоматов вы можете увековечить свой рекорд с помощью трех символов после окончания игры. И сравнить его с глобальной статистикой. Примерно там же информация о том, какие достижения можно получить в игре.
В перерывах между турами игра показывает короткие рекламные видеоролики, а если у вас закончатся все шарики, то вы можете посмотреть длинный тридцатисекундный рекламный ролик, чтобы получить еще один дополнительный шар.
