Adds magazines to the game like wuut_magazines, but optimized for compatibility and redone from the ground up.
If you have used the original Anomaly Magazines, this should feel pretty much the same. There are no changes in functionality.

This addon is not compatible with Anomaly Magazines.
Do not use with Anomaly Magazines.
Do not use with anything that previously affected Anomaly Magazines.
Do not use existing saves that had Anomaly Magazines.

Obviously this is not compatible with wuut_mags or other magazine mods. However we have incorporated a lot of quality of life tweaks:
Use of MCM strongly recommended to enable tweaking of a lot of features.
Proper RUS translation pending.
Compat patches are available with WPO and EFT Reposition (and WPO). The only conflict is defines.ltx which we tweaked to add the mag eject method.

Adds Magazines to BaS weapons! Now includes AK pattern and STANAG pattern magazines!
Mod adds proper magazines to Boomsticks and Sharpsticks weapons!

11. (OPTIONAL BUT NEW GAME REQUIRED) Try this New Game Loadout mod: BaS & Magazines New Game Loadout
-Added STANAG pattern magazines. L85A1 magazines now work with M4A1 and M4A1 work with Galil Ace 21. Basically IRL NATO countries and allies use STANAG pattern magazines as a standard so I added them to make it more realistic.
-Added magazines to PL15

In case anyone wants any personal updates, I am definitely not finished with school but its the last quarter of my Junior year of high school so everything is calmer and less hectic. That’s why I got the time to update this mod and Pixelerror also magically figured out the SKS problem. X-Ray is crazy. Hope you all have a nice day!
Also I know I haven’t finished all of the magazines for BaS weapons, just give me like a week or so. I got a couple different projects going on ranging from an English voiced actor to a brand new set of weapons(don’t worry I will add magazines for them too!).

Em. how do the trader sell bas magazines for it?

They do sell them. They sell the magazines if the gun is there too. Like if Sid is selling a Glock 17 then he will also sell its magazine but he won’t sell a Sig P226 magazine if he isn’t selling a Sig P226.
Whenever you buy a gun with 45 bullets, you will get the 45 bullets in the magazine. But other than that one mag you get when you buy the gun, you wont ever get anything like it again unless you buy that same gun again. I would mess around with the trader file to manually put in the magazines instead of using the script that wuut uses, but that means it would be hell to make other addons work without me making a trillion different patches.
Can u tell me how to manually mess the trader file?
Or by using trader over haul and tweak it to my own favor?
I like trader overhaul personally but its upto you whether or not you like it. So the best way to put magazines in traders inventories is to take the name of the weapon so like the berretta mag that uses 9×18 name is mag_wpn_beretta_9x18_fmj (you can find all of the names in wuut_magazines.itx) and you basically just add that to whichever trader you would like and then add the amount and multiplier for pice. So lets take Sid as an example. Sid is scammer supreme so he would take like 2x what it actually costs and he has 3 of them. To put them in the file you would put it as:
mag_wpn_beretta_9x18_fmj = 3, 2

Your good, also saying your teen isn’t a good excuse because Im 16 and its not too hard to learn about this. The file you put it in is trade_(insert trader name).ltx if you need more precise help, my discord is d_nan#1730. Join the Anomaly discord and a lot people (like most are x100 smarter than me) and I will help you out (Also help me shitpost everywhere lol).

Making a list would be an extremely long comment, but I can show you a way to get the list. There are two ways.
1. The easiest way is to turn on debug mode through the Anomaly launcher, press f1, load into the test map, go to main menu, press f1, press f7, open item spawner, go to ammo and scroll down where you will see all of the magazines.
2. The slightly harder way is to open wuut_magazines.ltx and read through it.
I think option 1 would be easier for you since it will show both the in game name and actual name in the files. For example, in game name for the Glock 17 magazine is Glock Magazine but the name in the files is mag_wpn_glock17_9x19_fmj so I would say use option 1 since it would show both.
Why dont traders have much more magazines. They have bunch of ammo but no magazines to insert them?
They sell some magazines but I was trying to make it so that there is a script that adds magazines to trader’s inventories but its extremely complicated and I am thinking about inserting magazines directly into the configs but that would cause major problems when you play with other mods. So that would mean I have to add multiple patches too. Hopefully, I can get it out soon. Can’t give an ETA tho.
is there a way to load magazines faster or autimatically whole clip rather than moving ammo to it by 1 bullet?

Go into the wuut_magazines.ltx file, ctrl+f search the gun you want and change the max_mag_size number to whatever number you would like.
BaS has been updated recently. Do you intend to add magazines to the remaining guns?
I’ve been trying to do it on my own by adding new guns to the list of magazine groups, and then by creating new «[mag_wpn_. ]:mag_wpn_. » entries following the pattern I see in your wuut_magazines.ltx, but I end up making duplicate magazines that don’t stack with the originals. Do you have any advice for me? Thank you for your work.
Yea I am trying to add more magazines. I already have it working for the PL15 but the other guns with custom ammo are really hard to work with. They seem to cause crashes even when I add the new ammo as a parameter.
About the duplication, you made a brand new magazine, even if everything about it is the same, since you named it differently, the game thinks its different. Just a heads up, you shouldn’t try naming two magazines the same thing or else it WILL crash.

Tell me, do the magazines for Toz-106 not work? Although you have Toz spelled out in your script
The TOZ-106 does not work because it uses custom ammo. The TOZ you see is prior to when the TOZ shotgun ammo was changed to 20×70. Custom ammo doesn’t work and just causes crashes. I am trying to make it work tho.

Hi devnnda8, it seems that mags for pl-15 aren’t working. They do not appear in game and what’s more I checked wuut_magazines.ltx file and there is no section for pl-15 there, but maybe i’m totally blind and\or ctrl+f isn’t working correctly. Just letting you know.
Did you make sure to install the Patch For BAS Mags Models Patch Fix? If not, please do since all of the new Update 7 files are in there so if you don’t use it, then you won’t have STANAG magazines or PL15 magazines.
Ahhh right, now it is working. Yeah I’m trying to use as few mods as I can to avoid compatibility issues and and all the updating so i just didn’t bother with installing some of this stuff. Looks like everything’s fine now. I’m sorry to have bothered you about this. Looking forward to more updates.

can this work in rc21?
Because the BaS only work with RC21 or above, i think yes its work.
Thanks for your work, i waited for a mod like this for a long time. This is great.
I noticed some things though. It appears that both versions of TOZ-106 don’t have a mag support yet and also rpk-16 seems to be using a 45 round mag by default(at least in the item spawner) and it should use 60-rounder. Those are the only issues I encountered for now.

Sorry to disturb you once again, but i just tested the new patch and it seems that both versions of TOZ-106 use just a two round mag, though the version with the wooden stock should be using 4 round mag by default. I don’t know if you can do something about that. Anyway it’s not a huge deal, but it would be neat if you could look into that.

Have you tried the AS VAL Tac or VSS Merc? I think its one of the two. If not, then this preview picture is from an old version of BaS.

I asked Gwub where he had gotten it from and he said it was an old screenshot from September 2019 and so it is from an old version of BaS, not another addon.

No problem, bro. Anyway, I know the 30 bullet mag vihkr does not work for the VSS. The 20 bullet mag AS VAl will work for the VSS though. I am currently trying to make the 30 bullet mag vikhr accept 10 bullet mag VSS and 20 bullet mag AS VAl and vice versa. Until then, use the AS VAl mag for the VSS if you want maximum bullets for the VSS.
How to install alone or overwrite this patch on wutts magazines??
Download BaS, download wuut’s magazines then use this patch to overwrite wuut’s magazines. Hope this helps!

VSS mags work on AS VAL & AS VAL mags work on VSS, but making SR-3M Vikhr mags work with these two is on my to-do list. Also, you got your AS Val and VSS mixed up.
Does this fix the problem with anomaly magazine that when you hover the magazines it crashes the game?
Im not too sure actually. I haven’t had any crashes at all while using this. You shouldn’t either. I am using RC23 so it might be that. Also RC23 requires a patch for mags to work and I will be posting that soon.
I’m using RC21 and I don’t know if I update to RC23 I’ll lost my save data.
If you are happy with RC21, then I would say stick with RC21. If you want to update to RC23, then update. I don’t think you will lose your save data but I am not too sure.
I’m getting these crashes, it happened with one of the brown 5.45 ak mags and I think also on a VSS mag

Toz106 and Toz106_m1 has same 2 ammo mag\clip.
But Toz106_m1 has 4 ammo inside, so there goes the bug of 4ammo inside 2 mag\clip
I had tested the TOZ106 and it worked so I assumed both worked. Thanks for the feedback. I will fix it as well as release a patch for RC23.

I fixed it already, may as well release it, but I need to check if all my files and such are compatible with the new 1.5.1 release.
I installed a new patch and both SVD-S and SVD-S PMC still don’t use mags sadly, though normal SVD does.
Im gonna change your credit from feedback to tester for all the feedback you have given and Im gonna stop releasing patches on weekdays as well because I can’t test until weekends. I think I already have an idea on what I did wrong and I have corrected the issue(hopefully it should fix) but I won’t release until I have tested myself. Also thank you for the feedback once again. Also are you on 1.5.1? Just asking so I can see if this patch, and by extension the magazine mod(btw if you are using 1.5.1, use the patch for rc23, I have heard from other modders that 1.5.1 is just a bug free rc23), still works or if its obsolete.
Nah i’m still on rc23, don’t see a reason to switch to 1.5.1 until addons that i’m using are updated. And yeah take your time, no reason to rush things.
why is it that when i press R it doesnt do anything, it doesn’t swap magazines when i press r even though i havve a spare in my inventory?
Did you add them to the loadout? Right click a mag and press add to the loadout.
To further add, if you cant add more magazines to your loadout then change your clothes. For example heavy armor can carry the most magazines like 9-10(i think) while not having any clothes on will let you carry 2 magazines. It also depends on the type of magazine. Like heavy armors let you carry 3-5 medium(like ak, m4, scar, etc) magazines, a couple of heavy magazines(like pkp, rpd, rpk, etc) and a lot of pistol magazines but no clothes won’t let you carry heavy or medium magazines and only 2 pistol magazines.
Ohhh, this explains the green Dots of the mags in the Inventory, was jsut about to ask what they were, also love that feature that you add them to the load/Armor, like you putting the mags in pockets on said armor so easy acces to reload the weapons you current wearing, very neat!
