Among all these negative comments I feel like I have to say that you are doing a amazing job with this mod and that it has brought me and friends alot of fun playing Cities: Skylines together, I really wish for a bright future of this mod and that it gets alot more attention because I would love to see further features and support to be added. This mod is one of a kind and alot of the people here can’t imagine the amount of work it is to develop something like this. Keep it up!
And keep in mind that this is probs the only city builder game with such amount of detail, and then ontop of that the only city builder game that has actual multiplayer because of you.

For the latest and greatest code, you should continue installing manually, but this listing will be updated often with the latest build.

Host:
1. If hosting locally (within your network), check that your firewall is open, it hosting over the internet, you may need to port forward. By default CSM runs through port 4230.
2. Either start with a blank world, or open an existing save. If you are playing an existing save, BACKUP THE SAVE FIRST.
2.5 Worlds are located here: %LOCALAPPDATA%Colossal OrderCities_SkylinesSaves
3. When in game, click the «Multiplayer» button and then click «Host», enter your name and an optional server password.
4. You should see a message saying the server has started.
5. Clients are now able to connect to your game
Client:
1. Enable the mod
2. Click the «Join Game» button on the main menu (if you do not see this button, restart your game first)
3. Enter the server and your information
3. Click «Connect to Server» and wait up to 60 seconds while the game connects and downloads the map from the host.

Мультиплеерный мод для Cities: Skylines и немного об игре
Многие разработчики или крупные издатели, например EA, не приветствуют модеров или просто относятся к ним скептически. В результате модеры не в состоянии сделать то, чего парой сильно не хватает. Но Cities: Skylines мало того, что является хорошим градостроительным симулятором, но и прекрасной площадкой для моддинга.
На этот раз отличился пользователь Fr0sZ, он добавил в игру мультиплеер. На данный момент мод находится на ранней стадии разработки, но уже работает. В этом вы можете убедиться, посмотрев видео, которое находится вначале статьи. Стоит отметить, что все происходит в режиме от 1 лица. Модельки игрока пока одинаковые и в зачаточном состоянии, на них нет абсолютно никакой анимации.
Но тут перед разработчиком предстала во всем величии главная проблема, причем проблема связана не с процессом разработки. Создатель говорит себе «Теперь только осталось придумать, что делать с ним дальше.» А ведь если подумать, это ведь действительно главная проблема. Ну хорошо, появится хорошая анимация игроков, появятся красивые и аккуратные модельки игроков. А что делать в этом мультиплеере? Ведь скорее всего, можно только прогуливаться по улицам созданного вами города с вашим другом, вот и все.
По обратную сторону медали встает огромный простор для фантазии. Может нам позволят управлять городом вдвоем, а можем и больше. Теперь вам не придется следить за каждым показателем, можно распределить роли в игре по потребностям неигровых персонажей. Возможно, можно будет воссоздать мини GTA, почему бы и нет? Реализовать управление транспортом, изъятие этого транспорта у неигровых персонажей и вперед! Поверьте, модеры и не такое могут. Может даже смогут реализовать RealLife RP в собственно построенных городах, то есть перенося страдания выживающих там ботов на вас.
Что же касается самой игры. Она оказалась на редкость хороша, как градостроительный симулятор. Она не столь казуальна, как SimCity 2013, и не столь надоедливая, как не так давно вышедшая CitiesXXL. Но игре не хватало, хотя бы базовых мультиплеерных функций, хотя бы как в вышеупомянутой SimCity 2013.
Создатели Cities: Skylines вроде как работают, а вроде и нет. Нет больших патчей, которые привносили бы в игру кардинальные изменения. В игре отсутствует элементарная смена дня и ночи. Но все же, сколько не придирайся, придираешься все равно к мелочам. Все эти минусы не перевесят гору плюсов. А что касается мода, то это очень интересная задумка, которая понравится если не всем, то многим.

Host:

2. Either start with a blank world, or open a world and PAUSE the game. If you are playing an existing world, you need to send a copy to every client, (this process will be automated in the future). It’s recommended that you start with a blank world.

3. When in game, click the “Show Multiplayer Menu” button and then click “Host”, enter your name and an optional server password.
4. You should see a message saying the server has started.
Client:
1. Create a new world of the same type, or open the copied world from the host.
2. When in game, click the “Show Multiplayer Menu” button.
3. Click “Join Game” and enter the IP address, your name, and optional server password.
4. You should see an error message saying that you have connected (and the server should also see the same message).
