City-17 [Deathmatch] Half-Life 2 map
Hello everyone! If you love Minecraft, Half-Life 2 and Deathmatch, this map is for you.
The map is specially designed for DM mode.
Balanced places are present.
Available places:
1. 3 streets.
2. Large sewerage with waterfall down to the lower levels.
3. Many buildings in which you can go and take a position.
4. 2 large halls in the citadel
5. Railway.
6. Railway station.
7. Ruined buildings.
8. A small canal.
On the map there are background tasks to make the city look more realistic, scale, and simply there were no empty seats.
Places fenced with posts, walled alliance barriers and buildings, are made as barriers to background and inaccessible places for the player in the mode of survival.
If you are going to play with your friends in Deathmatch without any violations, I ask you to not overcome these fences made specifically to close the review for the edge of the map.
Maybe you have a question.
How can I fight if there is no weapon in the Minecraft?
What do we fight on bows?
No, I found one convenient mod for this map.
Immediately I warn you, the mod was not made by me, I do not remember the author, but under the link to this mod, you can see the owner of this modification.
If you played with this mod, or already played and you did not like it, then you can download another one, to which I also leave the link below.
If you want, I’ll try to make weapons as in the original Half-Life 2, but in vain.
Some weapons from the first recommended mod can harm the map, so it’s better to check the weapons before the game starts.
Weapons from the second modification, destroy the glass.
So there are several variations of maps.
PROJECT UNITED
DOWNTOWN CITY
Downtown City is a medium-sized city. The city was building five years and is still not complete. The city is a combination of American and European architectural style. The town has a number of public buildings such as a stadium, several parks and much more. Apart from the city itself there are suburban areas, farms, airport (unfinished), forest and in it a curious abandoned building. In the world there are two islands. One of them is the typical «banana republic» and is decorated in Caribbean style with inspired game Tropico 3 and abandoned island. For now I do not attach a file because the world is not sufficiently furnished, but intercede photo of in advance (except for islands).
100 m² land with mountains. Now only terrain, but someday will be there some cities and villages in postsoviet style. Today we have 2 dams and 2 villages. In future there will be nuclear power plant like in Chernobyl.
Built on server
Greenfield turned 10 years old today. That’s 10 years of building, 10 years of planning. 10 years of countless hours behind the screen, making this project what it is today. Thank you all for allowing us to stay around, and be the map of choice for millions around the world.
Greenfield is a city like no other. We are built to the finest detail, but also carefully planned on a large scale. We have designed the city on a 1:1 scale, which means 1 block is equivalent to 1 meter- this scale allows us to create the feeling you are walking in a real city relative to the size of the Steve character. While we may only be 20% complete with the city, we are arguably one of the most complete and detailed cities which currently exists in Minecraft. With thousands of unique builds and 99% of all buildings having a full interior, there’s nearly an endless stream of opportunities of exploration and easter eggs.
We are a fictional city which is based on the west coast, and heavily inspired by Los Angeles. Starting back in August of 2011, Greenfield has been continuously worked on to this day to bring new areas of exploration, an increasing quality standard of building, and an increasing amount of accuracy to California. The types of builds you will find in Greenfield are the same buildings you would find in a real life city on the west coast. There is a Downtown which has many large skyscrapers (all completed interiors), rich suburbs, poor decaying ghettos, industrial areas, as well as a vast network of roads, interstates, and railways.
About the Latest Update v0.5.3
Welcome to Greenfield version 0.5.3! This update has brought a strong focus on all build types- from large industrial factories, commercial buildings, such as Minekea, construction sites, residential, and office space. We have nearly doubled the amount of industry we had previously in Greenfield and brought back the infamous Minekea, which has been waiting for many years to be created into what it is today.
This update, we are introducing two brand new areas, Ashfield West and Springfield, and four redeveloped areas, Northpark (Previously Melrose and old Springfield), Clinton, Glenview, and Ashfield East.
Ashfield West:
The counterpart to Westwood, Ashfield West is the second piece to the puzzle which fits the run down, working-class, area of suburbs in Greenfield. With nearly 20 new factories and warehouses, Ashfield West has nearly doubled the amount of industry allowing even more possibilities for future expansion into working-class neighborhoods.
Springfield:
Springfield is the newly developed commercial zone for the redeveloped Northpark. Featuring an under-construction Hockey Stadium (Kazias Center), Movie Studios, Minekea, and many other retail and construction-oriented plots. Springfield is the current center of commercial redevelopment, in the city meant to keep the inhabitants of the city occupied with things to do and options for home decor.
Northpark:
Northpark is a newly developed, and nearly complete, residential area with a large amount of newly created homes, apartments, and retail. With a high school nearby and shopping centers near, Northpark is the current hot spot for new living.
Clinton:
Office and commercial heavy, Clinton features a new multi-building shopping mall with a movie theater, food choices, and many, many, stores. All developed within the last 20 to 30 years, Clinton is a hustling part of the Greater Ashfield Area, and one which will continue to be so for many years to come.
