Многопользовательский шутер Counter-Strike Source (CSS) от компании Valve, в сущности, является римейком CS 1.6 на более продвинутом движке. Сетевой код по сравнению с оригинальной игрой был значительно улучшен, а старые баги устранены. При этом системные требования остались на низком уровне.
Одна из самых известных версий этой игры — CSS v34. Это классическая версия, где нет всех тех многочисленных изменений, которые разработчики Valve внесли в игру позднее. И для геймеров, которым данные изменения в целом не пришлись по нраву (а таких немало) — это именно то, что надо.
Особенности и преимущества
Как и в прошлых шутерах серии Counter-Strike в КСС в34 игрокам предоставляется возможность погрузиться в противостояние двух вооружённых команд бойцов в разных локациях. Причём максимально возможное число бойцов в рамках одной локации равно 64-м.
Если разобраться, достоинств у этой игры действительно много. Шутер обладает простым и понятным геймплеем, реалистичной физикой и графикой. Даже мелкие детали и предметы здесь реагируют на движения и действия игроков.

A: You can change it the same way as in CSGO, with viewmodel_ commands (0.5 and up: or with mod options menu)

A: 0.5 and up: use mod options menu; 0.4 and below: type loadout_slot_ in the console and you will see all the commands. Enter the command without any values and you will see all possible values for the command

A: The same way as hosting a server for CS:S, just install the mod on top of it like you do on your client. P.S. this mod doesn’t work on linux so use only windows hostings
Q: Why not add an ability to change weapon or gloves skins in-game?
A: It’ll never be added because its an EXTREMELY HUGE amount of work (for a couple of months at least) for the cost of EXTREMELY HUGE mod size (around 15-20 gbs for sure) and low performance, also players will ask to add skin wears, stickers and that would be a huge pile of mess
Q: DispInfo_Load: nDisplacements (number) > MAX_MAP DISPINFO (2048) when loading a map or Can’t load corrupted map or I can’t even get to main menu!
A: Read the installation.txt file and install bin folder properly
Q: How to install skins or change my gloves?
A: You either download them from «Community addons» section of CS:SO Discord, make them yourself, or download them from the internet and install them while matching CS:SO file structure (if installing a skin for CS:S then install only materials folder!). In-game option to change the gloves was added in 0.6.
Q: I have a lot of missing textures (reflections)!
A: mat_specular 0

Updates
This update announces the Snakebite case update as the final revision of [CS:GO Mod] due to a very recent incident when upgrading my GPU (fried my SSD and HDD containing software and important plugins no longer available for download publicly that I used to create my mod).
This does mean support for [CS:GO Mod] for CS:S is no longer available. The mod is usable in it’s current state, but some skins are no longer working / bugged out due to Google Drive having some weird ass issue with them, which I cannot fix now. Help with this mod will be done through Discord only and my community will take the place of me helping others.
What started as a small project, turned into the largest one of 2020/2021 for CS:GO weapon/skin modding in CS:S in GameBanana history. I left my mark on this modding community, so I wish every other modder the best of luck in their future endeavors, don’t ever let someone make you think less of who you are. Be the best you can be.

Edit: As of 11/19/2020, this is GameBanana’s youngest mod to have over 100,000 total views!! (Can be compared with «most viewed» submissions on Counter-Strike: Source, ran through for about 10 minutes comparing the time a mod has been submitted, and on average, the mods that have 100k+ views are more than 4-6 years old! My mod is less than a year old!! POGCHAMP!
I shall sleep happily knowing I am the world’s first to do such a huge feat. Pogchamp to the CS:S modding community, the GameBanana community, and the [CS:GO Mod] community.

4. Introducing the ‘Online Update’ / v2.0.0!
This update completely revamps the mod, allowing for a one time install of a program used to automatically grab updates, skins, and so forth without having to re-install over 4-6GB worth of content!
This update also brings the latest collection of skins, as well as a smaller install size per install!
If you don’t know how to install the mod, watch the video at the top! It explains everything, from how to install it, change skins, importing loadouts, and exporting loadouts (sharing) to GameBanana!
The exporting loadout tutorial has not been made yet. I have not had the time to produce the video, so do ask me on the official Discord if you need help. Otherwise, look at the available ‘CSGO Mod Loadout’ submissions under ‘Packs’ for submission guidance for now! A guide will come soon on Steam, and eventually migrate itself over to GameBanana.
This has been in the works ever since 1.1.2 was released, and I’m glad to have spent the time I did to get this done and ready for all of you!

7. Requirements / Pre-requisites
Here are the minimum requirements for my [CS:GO Mod] For Counter-Strike: Source (v2.0.0 / ‘Online Update’)!
• Counter-Strike: Source purchased and installed from the Steam Store
• At least 1.5 GB of free space on the installation path of Counter-Strike: Source
• At least 1.5 GB Free on the windows-installed storage device (the program needs to extract compressed data so that it may install onto a given storage device)
• Windows 7
• An active internet connection
• Counter-Strike: Source running on ‘mat_dxlevel 90’ or higher
8. Incompatibility Issues:
This mod cannot be installed on hosted servers for everyone to see and use. This is only applicable client-side, and server-side support is unavailable, and won’t be available. This means you cannot use the files on a server you are setting up yourself, as nobody will even want to download 600mb+ worth of files for ONE server. This mod can only be used client-side. Plus, I do not allow hosting the files provided by my mod on servers.
