crusader kings 2 римская империя мод

Features:
You can now restore Roman Republic as any merchant italian (or greek, like Amalfi) republic! For that, you need to control most of italian lands (and Rome, of cource. Pope, begone!) and be a christian or hellenic pagan.

You can overthrow republic and proclaim an empire! For that, you need to have a loy of money and prestige, and Republic must have an Empire tier. But be sure, this will provoke a civil war.

You can restore ancient legion system and form 11 legions! Each legion has up to 6 thousand legionnaires, so you can defeat both the Mongols and the Aztecs alone. But to create a new legion, you must control its historically native province, like Latium for Legio I Italica. Also, to restore legion system, you need to have Roman culture, 20 martial and 15 learning.

You can restore Western Roman Empire as christian or hellenic pagan ruler! I advise you not to do this as a Catholic ruler, because this will provide a endless headache because of this bastard in a tiara from Rome. Yes, I hate the Pope, thanks to the many excommunications in the Medieval 2 Total War. And what kind of Roman Empire it is without Rome? The Pope will constantly demand the return of Rome or give him independence in exchange for ruler coronation.

You can reunite Eastern and Western Roman Empires! You need to control both Eastern and Western empires to do that. (Byzantium was renamed to the Eastern Roman Empire for obvious reasons).

Dynamical flag system! If you are christian, your Eastern, Western or united Roman Empire will have Chi-Ro as flag. If you not, then your Rome will have roman Aquila.

New bloodlines! Be sure, if you restore Western Roman Empire, or Roman Republic, or crush the Senate loyalist and proclaim the Empire, you will create a new bloodline.

Planned features:
The dissolution of the legions, due to the loss of its native province or by the decision.

I remind you that English is not my native language, so there may be errors in the text of the events or decisions.

This mod aims to create an unique Byzantine Experience for Crusader Kings 3 with the introduction of new systems, vassal contracts, character interactions, a brand new government type and much more.
What’s in the mod right now:

Unlike feudal Western Europe, the Roman Empire employed a complex bureaucratic system which emphasized that all land, ultimately, belonged to the Empire. Hold both castle and city holdings like you once did in CK2!

Exarchate: In the civil administration of the Byzantine Empire an exarch was the imperial governor of a large and important region of the Empire. The Exarchate system was a response to weakening imperial authority in faraway provinces and constitued part of the overall process of unification of civil and military offices, initiated in early form by Justinian I. Currently brings major military bonuses to a vassal with this contract.

Themes: The vastness of the Empire may also be its greatest weakness. The thematic system was implemented in order to allow for quick responses to the various threats to its existence. While subject under a Theme, the vassal may be called to external defensive wars in aid of the Basileus, but provide an opinion malus to all of your subjects.

Pronoia: While the Theme System had its merits of saving the Empire from the brink of extinction, it led to the creation of a strong nobility capable of opposing Constantinople. The Pronoia System was a late attempt to take back control by leasing tax grants instead of land. You can use this to massively weaken your vassals and take most of their levies.

Men-at-Arms: The armies of the Empire were mostly consisted of professional soldiers than raised levies. We’re still not sure how to reflect this in the game without making Byz more OP than it should be, but for now it enjoys a reduced MaA maintenance costs and can create bigger regiments at the expense of a massive penalty to vassal levy contribution.

You will, however, get some random minor events based on senators’ opinion of you (good opinion = good events, bad opinion = bad events). This can range from prestige bonuses to vassals getting hooks to being deemed a tyrant. More events to come later.

Seize Domains: No subject of the Empire is a sovereign of their lands. Spend Prestige to revoke a county without tyranny penalties or revolt chance. Use this interaction consecutively to completely unland a character!

As of launch, the election system in CK3 is very primitive. To make elections more fun, this mod adds some localization scripts and modifiers present in the base game that aren’t currently used (probably upcoming in a DLC). It also implements some modifiers of my own, such as making electors closer to Constantinople more influential.

Co-Emperor: One of the reasons the Emperorship was considered closer to a Monarchy rather than a ‘Republican Office’ was the fact that succession was normally cheated by the designation of a Co-Emperor, who would take over after the reigning Emperor passed away.
In this mod, you can set someone eligible to succesion as your Caesar, which gives a massive +100 bonus to the candidate and adds half of his skills to yours. Beware! It may be advantadgeous to promote talented nobles for their skills but this costs prestige and could end up also costing you the throne in an untimely death.

Missing the ability to hand out minor titles in CK2? Well they’re back here as «administration titles», with Byzantine flavour added to the titles you can hand out! These will effectively integrate characters into an ‘expanded’ council, where they’re recognized as being part of your Council (but won’t have councillor actions).

Eparch of the City: The city mayor of Constantinople, which will increase your domain limit in accordance to his Stewardship and thus allow you to focus on administrating more counties.

Lady of the Circle: The lady of the women’s court, increasing your scheme discovery chance based on her current Intrigue.

Quaestor of the Sacred Palace: The public official in charge of supervising the legislation process of imperial laws and addressing petitions and other legal questions. This will in turn increase your vassal limit based on his Diplomacy.

Great Hetaeriarch: The supreme commander of mercenary armies and troops raised from foreigners. This will reduce the cost of mercenaries based on Martial.

First of the Proedros: The eunuch in charge of administration within the Great Palace of Constantinople. As long as he is in office, your long reign bonus will increase whilst short reign penalties decrease based on his Leraning.

In case you have any other compatibility issues, please reach out through the discord below.

The Roman Empire Restoration Project

This is a alternative history mod that aims for the restoration of the true Roman Empire with the roman religion and culture added to the byzantine empire faction (now named Eastern Roman Empire as it should be).
This mod adds the Pantheon Maioris Romanus religion to the game, which is a reformed organized version of the true old roman cults and religion called Mos Maiorum. It has the actual roman names for everything including Gods (like Jupiter, Mars, Neptune etc..) and religion head titles (Pontifex Maximus). With custom initial characters from the Julio-Claudia dynasty.

The goal of the mod is to provide a roleplaying alternative where you will start at the year of 867 as a man who claims being a descendent of Augustus himself!

Coming from the city of Rome (that now lays on the hands of christians) this young and ambitious man named Romullus, climbed the political ranks of the Eastern Roman Empire and usurped the orthodox emperor with the help of disgruntled vassals. He refounded the Collegium Pontificum under a restored and organized roman religion called Pantheon Maioris Romanus. He spent the next years converting, with the help of his newly converted vassals who were part of the coup, cities to a renewed roman tradition, which means some of the places on your empire already have the roman culture and religion now.
That doesnt mean you will not have a challenge ahead: You have a lot of vassals the old orthodox vassals who consider you a godless heathen, and that could risk yet another civil war. Also a major part of your empire to the east still follows christianity, with small pockets also on your west, not to mention Bulgaria on your north trying to resist this «pagan religion» that they consider evil and hostile.

You can see all the explanations about the flavor of the religion on this link: Roman culture and religion restored
(ps: you dont need to subscribe to it since this already has the religion and culture, just refer to the link for explanations about the religion)

New innovation: Exercitum Romanus: By abandoning a big part of the traditional «levies» system that uses peasants as troops, and focusing on professional and salaried soldiers with the studie of the ancient ways of war from the first legions, improved early medieval armament and armory, we can create even better legions that will conquer the world once more. This gives your empire a huge nerf to levies size, but at the same time gives you a increased number of men at arms and new professional units based on the ancient roman ones including Legionaries, Velites, Equites and a decision that adds the incredible strong Praetorian Guard.

(plan ahead before finishing this innovation, you should first get a good amount of money and income going in order to keep a big amount of the men at arms units since you will lose all of your levies, so as soon as you finish the innovation buy a lot of the men at arms right away, specially the Legionaries since they have 480 men for each unit)

New Special Buildings:

Your Empire now start with absolute crown authority since this makes sense to the Roman Empire.

Why does my Imperator have a christian crown?
The «Roman» culture in the game is part of the latin group (same as italians, cisalpine etc) so they have a particular «family» of clothes and acessories. All you have to do is acess the barbershop, by right clicking your guy, and change.

Why not 1066?
It makes more sense to start from the oldest period since the goal is to restore the roman empire slowly through the ages. Also since you start as the byzantine empire you dont have to worry about viking.

I recommend having this mod loading last so nothing from the mod goes missing due to conflicts with other mods

I am always open to suggestions and criticism. Also please if you find any wrong words or general odd stuff on this mod while using it let me know on the comments.
