We managed to hit Rank #4 out of all the games on Steam Greenlight, we are so excited for the future and cannot wait to unveil more content!
Beginning as a mod in early 2012, before hitting a public release in January of 2013, Dead Matter is very much a long-time passion project for us. Suggestions, feedback, and discussion is very much welcome, as we aim to provide our players with the absolute best experience that we possibly can and to us, that means working alongside the community.
Being part of a very small team means that we, as developers, understandably have a lot on our plate and much of what you see here is the result of our team’s unparalleled work ethic demonstrated through many months of extreme dedication and hard effort, even when some team members were working as a hobby project aside from their regular jobs. We believe nothing is impossible when the right amount of effort is applied, and we know that the final release will reflect that.
The nature of game development means that, through time, many features and plans may be scrapped or changed. Though nothing we’ve posted here is necessarily final, we do have a short list of some of our planned features and some of which are already fully integrated and interconnected.

Multiplayer
A truly open-world game wouldn’t be complete without the ability to join up with your friends and combine your skills to increase your chances of survival. This has been supported (and implemented) since development began in March.
Crafting
Crafting your own gear and upgrades is a natural extension of a true survivalist’s skills, and we want to reflect that in the game. Check out the screenshots for a small taste at some of the stuff you can build ingame for your weapons!
Zombie AI
An obvious necessity. To rival the greats, our zombie AI system has been developed at its core to efficiently handle and support massive hordes of zombies, as seen in our demonstration video. Though we’re not even close to done, and plan to constantly work on and improve this system so we can deliver higher amounts of better zombies on screen without killing server or client performance.
Day/Night Cycle
We have a fully dynamic day/night cycle.
Electrical System
One of our earliest planned features. Electricity is a core part of modern life, and the beginning of the zombie apocalypse should reflect that. Our robust electrical system enables you to fully power your home, opening up many gameplay options; from the typical minutia of turning lights on and off, to permitting the usage of power tools to enhance your crafting and upgrades. Though nothing this good lasts forever, and bad luck and poor planning could leave you with dead equipment when things go south.
Hunting
Finding, chasing, killing, and skinning the wildlife of Alberta for their fur and meat. We’ve tooled hunting to feel satisfying and fun for when you finally track down that buck you’ve had your eye on.
Medical System
When your hunger and thirst increases, your vulnerability to disease raises with it.
Trauma must be dealt with, individual limbs must be taken care of as there are many unique afflictions that they may fall to. When you’re with your friends, a dedicated doctor is a must-have.
Farming
We’ve create an indepth farming system that takes advantage of a variety of tools that all serve a variety of purposes. There are a huge amount of items that you can use in your farming, and the more crafting-inclined can rig devices to improve speed and yield.
Q. How many developers are currently working on the project?
A. There are 3 primary developers actively working on the project, as well as our awesome music guy. We also have a small staff of people that handle out-of-game tasks such as logo design, website design, and community outreach.
Q. What is the current stage of development you are in?
A. We are currently in pre-alpha. As we’re still refining and improving our plans for the future, we decided that going public would mean a more intimate development relationship with the community which gives us a chance to find out what you guys want to see in the final release.
Q. Where is the footage showing off zombie gameplay?
A. We didn’t have our zombie model in a presentable form for the video, we felt that having a lot of placeholders next to polished assets would be detrimental to the game and hence why they were intended to simply be backdrops in the original video. However, we have an old video from April please do keep in mind that this is a very old video, the player controller and weapon code have been completely rewritten from scratch since this video was made, however this video is to show how we are capable of coding the AI to begin with and how we can also achieve quite large crowds on Unreal Engine 4. | лучше бы добавили режим выживание (PowerStruggle) без этого режима кризис не кризис а кал оф дат короче дерьмо, для меня самое главное это режим выживание (PowerStruggle) я только в него играть могу, хочется полетать на вертолётах на самолетах вертикального взлёта, хочу покататься на танках на на машинах, в первом кризисе столько техники в мультиплеере а во втором хрен, почему разрабы сделали мульплеер в стиле COD4 на настоящих фанатов кризиса начихали | |

| Сделал все как Вы написали, но когда извлекаешь файлы пишет «Архив поврежден или имеет неизвестный формат». Извлекаю при помощи WinRAR. Подскажите в чем может быть причина. | |

Такая ошибка обычно возникает когда файл не до конца скачался и загрузка была прервана, либо же когда при скачивании были перебои с сетью. | |

В описании была допущена ошибка, архив нужно не распаковывать, а переместить в папку dlc. | |

| Я завёл виртуальную кредитную карту от Яндекс Деньги, но, когда я начал вводить данные о карте на MyCrysis.com, мне написали, что номер карты недействителен (Your card number is invalid). Где надо было ввести номер карты (который оказался недействительным), я ввёл номер счёта. Почему оно так? | |

| XRUSHT.NET, и как им объяснить, что я платеж совершаю из игры. Мне кажется что они не поймут. Скажут- попробуйте альтернативные методы! Но какие? Их нет. Как такое может быть, что платеж не проходит с разных карт? Пробовал карты webmoney, yandex, qiwi. | |

| Лучше конечно в долларах ( они дешевле из всего перечисленного). Если есть Visa Virtual то он сам за небольшой процент переведёт в доллары. а вот понял когда игра архив распакует папки надо кинуть в папку gamecrysis2 и тогда карты зароботают, как то они всё усложнили | |

| Хотел бы купить decimation pack, вы пишете что нужно (Запустите игру > Перейдите во вкладку «Многопользовательская» > Перейдите во вкладку «Дополнительные материалы» > Нажмите на кнопку. У меня нет вкладки «Дополнительные материалы». Версия игры 1.9, а этот пак ставиться сразу или нужен Retaliation Pack (Возмездие)? Запустите игру > Перейдите во вкладку «Многопользовательская» > Перейдите во вкладку> загрузить контент> долар> дополнительные материалы товаров не обнаружено. Что Decimation Pack купить уже нельзя? | |
