Dead cells кооператив мод
I knot it’s a Rogue-Like game, but there’s any change to that game become Online Coop with some items that allow us to revive our teammate? This games looks like awesome and would be even more awesome to play Coop.
I know it’s a little harsh to change a gamemode to add something that isn’t the theme of the game, but think about that, Devs, Coop it’s very nice to add to a game, even games that shouldn’t be Coop.
Maybe you could change something or add something to change that game to be a nice Online Coop. I don’t know, I’m just saying.
We would love to have a multi version of Dead Cells but as Alsemevad summed up, implementing an online co-op mode would be expensive, not to mention a difficult thing to pull off.
We decided to stick with creating a solid solo experience before we consider multi-player. While we never say never, if we do consider a multi mode it will a long time from now.
Hope that you’ll give Dead Cells a shot anyway.
Expensive? It’s a joke. You get a grant from the french state to help you to make the multiplayer of Dead Cells.
The devs have mentioned in a relatively recent Reddit AMA that they want to implement co-op, but it’s not the easiest thing to do. All us plebs in the discussion board can do is wait and see.

I personally would not mind supporting developers with buying DLCs for larger content additions.
There was a lot of free stuff provided and while i love that, i also think that they could use some of that to pack it into a proper DLC that is worth a small price.
That way they can support the game and at the same time get some money.
But obviously thats only half the truth. Because each free content addition draws new customers to the game. So they dont do it for free, as updating it for free sells more copies.
Yet, make a coop mode, pack some good content into it and make it a 3-4€ DLC/Addon. I dont mind. But thats just me.

Any chance local multiplayer might someday become available, possibly as paid DLC? (single shared screen or split screen)
I understand how complex netcode is, but local multiplayer would be sufficient for my purposes, and would really extend the life of this game for me.
Steam has «online» local coop now, so maybe more games will consider local coop.

The Remote Play Together is a great tool to play with friends, but both players need to have a very good internet, and the host need to have 2 ways of playing, aka K&M, controller, joystick, whatever. Only one won’t work.

Not sure what you meant about the host. Haven’t seen that. And yes it requires decent internet, but that is more and more common. I admit Dead Cells isn’t the best candidate for streaming, since reaction speed is key, but it shouldn’t be a hard blocker on it being at least fun to try out.
Remote Play Together works like a TeamView, the host allows the other player to use their mouse and keyboard like they were there. If both players move the mouse, the cursor will be crazy moving around the screen. As the game says, it’s a Remote play, the host allow the player who will connect with him to use the equipment (K&M, controller, joystick) while the host uses the other one.
Both could use Keyboard, but would be 10 keys pressing at the same time and it’s most likely to not work, like yours, try to press 10 keys at the same time and you will see some will not work.
