Dead Cells

1. At the first screen you see when you start the game, go to options

2. Click on gameplay

3. Scroll down to bottom, check box activate mod interface

4. Go back to the first screen you see when you start up the game from steam

6. Click on normal mode, NOT THE CONTINUE NORMAL MODE, the normal mode choice below your “continue normal mode” option

7. Click yes on the option it shows you with saying it will start your game from the start, this is needed to get the mod menu open.

8. Activate your mod from the list of mods shown.

9. Then click esc to leave the menu

10. BAM your mod now works or should at least

If anyone has any other helpful tips to add to this please do so. A gamer that isint frustrated is a happy gamer ^^

P.S Please keep in mind mods in this game wont disable acheivments and if you use some mods with your main save file, they may also unlock weapons and such that you may have to normally find otherwise. So it may be best to make a seperate file for any mods choosen to be used if you prefer to do everything vannila style on your main save like myself.

Reason im tossing this little timbit of info here is because i just spent 45 mins lookin through youtube vids and google and very little of what i found was helpful. the replies/threads were either in english so broken i had to guess what they were trying to explain or found nothing at all that was helpful.

Description: You asked for it. I delivered. Four times the enemies, and they scale twice as fast. Bosses are twice as strong. Weapons are four times the quality. You get double the scrolls in each level. Ossuary should literally max out your forge in a few runs.

Features:
-ALL enemies now spawn in ALL regions, asides from Fogger, Shielder, Spike Shroom, and Golem.
-UNUSED ENEMIES are also included in that «ALL ENEMIES» dealeo. Watch out for flying threats and more!
-FIVE TIMES the number of enemies. Note that due to the way the game works, the more ‘big’, ‘lategame’ enemies you get, the less enemies there are in general. Swarm levels may not be as high as Quadruple Cells in places.
-FIVE TIMES the strength of your equipment. Your starting weapons will be level five and will get absolutely crazy strong quickly.
-DOUBLE the number of stat upgrades. It won’t be enough, but it’ll hold off the horde a solid bit.
-FIVE TIMES the number of Cell Pods and Gold Pods. In addition, Cell Pods and Gold Pods now have a base chance to spawn everywhere, and you’ll get slightly more Cells and Gold generally too.
-A SECRET LEVEL replaces the Slumbering Sanctuary. I’m warning you, it’s a hell of an ambush. And your abilities may not be very useful.

This section covers what you should have already accomplished before attempting a given difficulty. Each difficulty level assumes you already have all of the prerequisites of the easier difficulty levels. This guide assumes that you will be playing the mods on 0 cell difficulty.

Hyper Tank:
Hokuto’s Bow, Bulwark, Grenades. (All of these give damage resistance) If possible, use Survival scaling grenades so you can get extreme amounts of health. This build is most useful at Dead Cells X4 and below.

Dedicated Cheese:
Tactics scaling weapon, Bulwark, Turrets. (Barnacles, Double Crossbow-matic, and Heavy Turret are most useful) Use the Heavy Turret if you use your weapon frequently, otherwise the other options are safer. Barnacles are the most generally useful, but they can’t block ranged attacks for you.

Speedy Boi:
Swift Sword, Bulwark, Corrupted Power, Phaser. (Also use the longer speed buff mutation) This build is probably the riskiest, but is great for confident players at X4 and below.

A new update has landed! This time there’s no balance changes or new weapons, instead we’re focusing on improving the ease-of-use and learning curve for everyone (particularly newcomers & occasional players), without altering the overall difficulty of the game.
All the new features are entirely optional and designed to allow you to improve your skills with no ragequits! OK maybe you’ll still have a couple.


Before you reach Prisoner’s Quarters you’ll see an entrance to a new training room where you can practise against any enemy that you’ve already faced. The mobs will start as statues (like in Slumbering Sanctuary) and re-animate only when you press the button at the entrance of the room.
We’ve even given you presets that reflect the bestiary of each biome to make your life easier, because we’re just that kind.

You can also train against all the bosses in their own environment, just go through one of the doors at the back of the main room to train against the big guns.

Weapon tubes and a training Guillain are also there to provide you with all the tools you need to train, so get cracking!

Aspects provide a specific buff, centered around a core synergy element such as fire damage or speed boosting. The update features 13 Aspects and new ones could be added in the future, if we manage to have any more ideas that is.


Probably the most self-explanatory part of this update, the world map features all the biomes you’ve already discovered and displays the connections between each level, but again only the ones that you’ve seen will be displayed. You can find it in the map screen of your current biome.

Thanks for all the feedback from the alpha, we’d made some smaller changes already and have put the Spoiler Boss in the training room as many requested.

Here’s the main changes for the beta:

We’ve had several reports that the Spoiler Boss won’t come down from the cage after killing the surrounding enemies, but we can’t reproduce the error. So if anyone can give us detailed information about this (e.g. operating system, items, seed number, where you went before the fight etc), please send it to us with the form 🙂

The team is also working on a fix for the Linux users who are having issues, plus the Daily Challenge refusing to load, so keep posted for those 🙂

So, in short we are mostly buffing all the weaker items (70 items are being buffed with 21 slightly nerfed). You can read the full list below but it might actually be shorter to just play the game.

— Twin Daggers (first two attacks weapon damage and breach bonus increased)

Item binding. My new most hated phrase…

The original plan was to move this option to custom mode, but then that wasn’t working properly so we were going to remove it from the game completely for this update. There was all kinds of hoo-ha and it was frankly a bit of a mess.

However, as the plans have changed a few times in such a short amount of time, we’re concerned that removing it completely might accidentally mess other things up. Leaving it be for another few months won’t hurt anyone and we wanted to get this update out in the wild, so we’re going to keep it in the game FOR NOW. Expect it to be moved to custom mode in the future though…

The Derelict Distillery and the Fatal Falls biomes were feeling a bit empty, so we’ve added some extra rooms to give them more spice. The Distillery in particular has some new sequences in it so be sure to give it a run through.

Modders rejoice! We have new room creation support for you lot, in the form of Tiled. You probably know that it’s a free, open-source level editor and I have no idea what I’m talking about here so I’m gonna shut up and just let you read the file written by someone more qualified than me.
