The Forest is a major location in Degrees of Lewdity, and possibly one of, if not the most dangerous if the player is not careful. It is home to dangerous creatures out to get them such as wolves, boars, bears, even tentacles.

However, it is not without its benefits: Numerous valuable artifacts, and new unlockable places.

This area is one of four central hub locations, meaning it is home to both human and non-human NPCs.

How to Enter

There are currently three different ways to enter the forest.

First Steps

There isn’t anything noteworthy about the player’s first time setting foot in the forest. They’re not at risk of triggering any encounters until they progress deeper into the forest, past the Forest Shop.

The numerous places can be found in the Forest is listed below:

1. These areas must be unlocked before the player can access them.
2. The player cannot access these areas directly from the forest; however, they will be deposited in the forest should they escape from them.
3. Only accessible during a specific event.

Hunted

In the central forest and beyond, there’s a chance the player will receive the following prompt: A chill runs up your spine, a warning from some primal instinct. Something is hunting you.

At this point, the player will be hunted by either Eden or Black Wolf (determined at random, with a 50/50 chance at either one). Certain hints can be used to determine who the player is being hunted by.

«Hunt progress» starts at 1, and gradually increases depending on the player’s actions. Once hunt progress reaches 10 or higher, the hunter will catch their prey. See Eden and the Black Wolf’s pages for their respective encounters.

Additionally, certain events in the forest take whether or not the player is being hunted into account. In these cases, the player’s choices can help them escape their hunter, or put them further in harm’s way.

The only way to completely escape the player’s hunter (aside from the river method mentioned above) is to return to town, or one of the two safehouses in the forest (Eden’s Cabin or the Wolf Cave). Note that the Forest Shop does not count as a safe zone, and whatever’s hunting the player will continue to do so once they leave the shop.

Landry’s Black Box

Landry’s black box can be found in the deep forest. There, the player has the option to search for Landry’s black box, after which one of two events will occur.

Note that if the player abandons their task and later returns, the game will remember which scene they were slated for. For example, if the player finds the box in a cave but they choose to leave before retrieving it, they’ll always be directed back to the cave when choosing the search for Landry’s black box action, with no chance of receiving the alternate event.

Unlockables

Several items are scattered about the woods. How deep in the forest the player is determines what they’ll find. Generally speaking, the more worthwhile treasures are locating in the deep forest.

There are a three different types of flowers the player can harvest, depending on how deep they are in the forest. With a high Science skill, the player can also collect seeds to grow them on their own.

Alongside flowers, there are three types of fruits to harvest as well. The player cannot collect their seeds, however.

The player can find two different types of mushrooms in the forest: heartshrooms and wolfshrooms. If the player is working on their science project, they can collect five of each, no Tending experience required.

Docks

The Docks is one of several locations in Degrees of Lewdity. It is a location where the player can find work, as well as find potential loot via means of Skulduggery.

How to Enter

The docks are accessible from the Beach and Mer street.

First Steps

The player may visit the docks on Mer street. When they enter the docks, they may ask for work. A dock worker will then tell them that they are allowed to work starting at 7:00 A.M. and ending 12 hours later on weekends.

Notes

The docks can be visited anytime to ask for work, however, the player will only be able to work on weekends (as they are still in school).

It also plays a key role in Robin’s Quest, where the player can search for them here, and eventually rescue them.

You can break into it at night, and steal from the containers a range of valuable items that you can sell to the Black Market. You also have a small chance to find and unlock the Catsuit.

Dockworking

Once the player inquires on a job, they will learn the details:

While working on the docks, the player can always choose to either work hard, leave or slack off (-Status). At high Exhibitionism, they can even strip and work naked (+Status). During each action, different events may play out.

Pub Crawl

During the pub crawl, several events can occur:

Pub Quiz

The player may take part in a pub quiz (dockers vs sailors). Since there is a bet and money to win, the player can either match the sailor’s bet (60 pounds) along with the other dockers, not bet anything or not take part. At Promiscuity 3 and overall attraction level C, they can offer their own body (+Status, as the dockers won’t have to bet any money). Not taking part ends in the mood being ruined, as the dockers lose against the sailors while getting mocked for not betting.

All other options will start the quiz, which has different categories (6 questions in total) such as science, literature etc. The player can either answer themselves (whether it’s correct or not depends on how good the player is in that school subject), let colleagues answer (randomly right or wrong) or give wrong answers on purpose. The sailors will randomly get right or wrong answers, too.

If the player’s team wins, they can either choose to keep all the money to themselves (-Status) or share the money with their colleagues (+Status).

Losing means the player and co. lose their money, or, if the player had previously offered their body, they will be given the option to initiate a gang-bang with the sailors. The player can walk over or refuse (-Status). If the player refuses, the dockers will prevent the sailors from collecting. There is a chance that this will cause a fight to break out between the dockers and sailors. The player can join in (+Status, Crime), or attempt to intervene and break up the fight (-Status).

Eye on the Prize

A docker colleague may eye up another person at the pub and the player can encourage them or ignore it. Encouraging either ends with the docker having a pleasant chat with the person before getting a drink spilled in their face, or with them leaving with the other person, thankfully smiling at the player (+Status). Ignoring does nothing.

Flirting

Other patrons may try to flirt with the player, which they can reciprocate by flirting back (Promiscuity 1 and +Status), getting a free drink, tease (Exhibitionism 1) to which the player gets stopped by another docker because they don’t want to lose teeth protecting them from riled up patrons or ignore them altogether, which, again, has no consequences.

Drinking Contest

The player can be invited to a drinking contest with different kinds of alcoholic beverages. This can easily leave the player wasted, however, continuing until the end gives +Status

Shopping Centre

The Shopping Centre is, as the name describes, a shopping centre. It is filled to the brim with items that can be purchased by the player. It is located on High Street.

Accessing the Shopping Centre after closing times is considered a crime.

There are two floors to the Shopping Centre, with an additional rooftop floor. Each floor sports it’s own unique facilities available to the player.

First Floor

«You are on the main floor of the shopping centre. It’s crowded with shoppers.»

«You are in the hairdressers. Here you can have your hair cut or dyed. There’s a seat available.»

The Hairdressers allows the player to change their hairstyle.

A hair cut costs £30, and hair dye costs £60. Each action takes twenty in-game minutes.

The player can also have their hair dyed any colour (though there is no way to preview how it will end up looking). Each action takes thirty minutes of in-game time.

At night the player can break into this area, and steal cash from a cash register.

«You are in the pet shop. A handful of the small animals turn to look in your direction. They all look cute but you doubt Bailey will let you keep any.»

The player can upgrade their tank capacity here.

Another purpose for this area is allowing the player to buy dog treats, once Alex’s Farm is unlocked. Costing £1 per treat.

Second Floor

«You are on the top level of the shopping centre. It’s not so busy up here, but you can hear a throng on the level below.»

«You are in the clothing shop. It has a large selection of ordinary clothes, but you’ll need to go elsewhere if you’re looking for something exotic.»

The clothing shop serves as the player’s main source of clothing. The clothing offered here is listed below:

Automatic Clothing Rebuy

The player can enable automatic clothing rebuy, which is described as activating «chips» in all your clothing. When damaged beyond repair, the player will be issued replacement clothing into their wardrobe. The cost is the price of the garment, but the downside is an additional 50% service fee the player has to pay for shipping. If the player lacks the money, they will be unable to obtain the replacements. Cash is deducted immediately upon receiving the prompt «your [clothing] signals for a replacement.»

«You are in the tailor shop. It has cloth of various colours hanging on racks.»

The tailor shop is where the player can have their clothing fixed. A prompt states how the tailor is known for the ability to fix «even the most tattered clothing» as well as offering to repair the lower half of outfits for free.

The offer the tailor gives to the player depends on the price/durability of the player’s clothing (to be checked). For example, a tattered sundress will cost much less to fix than a tattered ballgown.

Having clothing fixed takes ten minutes of in-game time to complete.

This is a new shop, replacing the old empty shop. You may buy makeup there to boost your beauty and contact lenses that function somewhat like glasses.

Rooftop

«You are on the rooftop of a commercial building. You can access the shopping centre from here. Buildings are closely packed, crossing between them should be no problem.»

From up here, the player is able to climb down a ladder, or re-enter the shopping centre. Climbing down the ladder leads them into the Commercial Alleyways.

The player is able to take a small waist apron from a shopping cart if they find themselves in a state of undress.

Safehouses

Safehouses are one of several areas the player can stop to rest.

Description

A safehouse will usually consist of these facilities that the player can access.

Safehouse List

There are a few safehouses the player will come across over the course of their playthrough. Some may be found within the Town, although others nest on the outskirts of the town in places such as the Forest.

It should be noted that some safehouses may not actually be considered to be «safe.» Nonetheless, a safehouse located in a dangerous area will still have the functionality and utility of other safehouses. For instance, all safehouses should have access to basic functions such as a bed to sleep in, and the ability to access Settings.

Three categories will make up a safehouse: Safe, Unsafe, and Imprisonment.

The starting and «safest» safehouse will be the Domus Street Orphanage, more specifically the player’s bedroom. It will always remain accessible to the player, whereas others may need to be unlocked first.

The player’s bedroom has the most functionality. Some safehouses lack the ability to do certain things that the player otherwise can in other safehouses. For instance, the ability to sleep will not present in some safehouses, but will be in others. An example of this would be the Brothel, as the player cannot rest there.

Unlocking Safehouses

With the exception of the Orphanage, safehouses will have to be unlocked before the player is able to access them. They may also require specific, character-related traits.

Science Fair

The Science Fair is the first out of the two School Projects found within Degrees of Lewdity. Winning the Fair will grant the player with beneficial rewards, each reward determinant based on what project the player picks.

Prerequisites

Task(s)

The player has only just a few weeks (twenty-five days) to produce a project that impresses not only Sirris, but Leighton as well.

Unlocking More Projects

The default project task assigned to the player will be the lichen project, however the player can also unlock the mushroom and phalli project through specific means.

Rewards

All will greatly reduce Trauma and reward the player with a prize of £500, but they have specific benefits as well.

Making Progress

To make progress with a project, the player must choose one out of the three given. As stated above, the player can choose to complete all three projects, but they will only be allowed to present one on the day of the science fair.

Lichen Project

This is the default project task assigned to the player.

Locations

White Lichen

Found at the Park. Regardless of what the player may pick, asking for help or choosing to climb, this is where the player can meet Avery for the first time.

Pink Lichen

Found within the Temple, behind the window of a tower. The player might need some assistance in order to get it, unless they have high Skulduggery. Be warned, the temple assistant the player asks may have some lewd ideas they will act upon after the lichen is obtained.

Violet Lichen

Found within the storm drain, exiting into the sea. The best route to go is to Elk Street, then through the Industrial Drain System. Once there, choose the option that leads to the drain ocean exit. This is where the lichen will be found.

Purple Lichen

Found within the Forest Lake Ruins. Head to the Lake at the center of the Forest (use School Grades to unlock a quick shortcut with the History skill to deeper within the Forest, then head slightly further to reach the lake) and then dive down until the ruins is reached.

Once the player touches this lichen, they will be affected by a hallucinogen. They will then be forced into a combat encounter, either through a non-consensual one with a diver or a tentacle encounter. Once over, return safely to the surface with the lichen in hand.

Mushroom Project

For this project, the player will need to find five different mushrooms and wolfshrooms, adding up to a total of ten mushrooms for the player to complete their project to the best of their ability.

Locations

They are scattered deep within the Forest, but fairly close to the Town. The player will randomly come across one at each interval, in which they can choose to eat them or leave them alone, but there is a third option to take it for their own project. To remain safe, stay near the entrance of the Forest, up to about the Forest Lake.

For wolfshrooms, however, the player will need to search deeper. Beyond the Lake and near the Wolf Cave is where wolfshrooms are typically found, where wildlife flourishes without human intervention. It is only deep within the Forest that wolfshrooms appear to the player.

Local Phalli Project

For this project, the player will need to measure penises/clits ten times. Note that this project is only unlocked if the player has a Promiscuity level of 3 or more, otherwise it will not appear.

Locations

Check the Beach, on a sunny day. A good time to do it is during midday, on the weekends. To proceed with this project, simply go up to people and ask to measure their genitalia. Avoid asking when multiple people are around.

How to Win

The Social tab is the best way of indicating how complete the project is as well as the chance of it winning the fair. Ideally, the player would want to win it fair and square, but they can use tricks on the day of the fair to gain an advantage over the competitors.

Presenting the Project

Regardless of the choice that the player makes, the PC can flirt with Leighton for a 10% extra chance of winning, or sabotage the competition for another 10% chance. As stated above, even if the player does not have a fully finished project, they can use the bonus 20% chance to get better odds of winning the fair. Going over 100% doesn’t seem to have any bonuses.
