Follow these simple steps to get Rust Drops activated on your Twitch account.
Sign in with one of your accounts
You’ll need an account on both Steam and Twitch to claim drops. If one of your accounts is already linked to a different account, you can unlink it by signing into that account first.
Sign in with your other account
Both a Steam account and a Twitch account are required to claim drops.
Activate Twitch Drops
Lastly, press the button below to finish activating drops so you can begin to receive drops in your Steam account. Previously claimed drops can be sent to you by clicking on the «Check for missing drops» button on the next page.
Which streams do I need to watch to get drops?
All Rust streams with the Drops Enabled tag will count towards earning drops. However, streamer-specific drops will require you to watch a specific streamer in order to get their drop. All participating streamers are listed above and all active campaigns and their conditions can always be seen on this Twitch page.
Is there any way to check my progress towards the next drop? What if I missed the drop?
You can track your progress on the Twitch Drops Inventory page.
Can I earn drops faster or more often by watching more than one channel at a time?
No, you will only be eligible to receive a drop for one active channel at a time. Watching more than one channel simultaneously will not result in more drops.
How long does it take for drops to show up in my Steam inventory?
It can take up to 10 minutes after pressing the Claim button for items to show up in your Steam inventory. If the item does not show up after 30 minutes then your Steam account may not have been linked to your Twitch account when you claimed the drop. You can link your accounts on the top of this page and then click the button to check for missing drops to attempt the reward again. You will need to own Rust on Steam in order to receive the items.
Do I need Twitch Prime to be eligible?
No, you will just need a Twitch account and a Steam account that has Rust in its library.
I no longer have access to the Twitch account I linked my Steam account to and want to link a new one. What do I do?
You can unlink your old Twitch account by signing in with Steam on this page and then clicking the Unlink Account button. Then you will be able to link your accounts normally again.
I haven’t bought Rust yet but I claimed some drops on Twitch. Will I still be able to get the drops in my Steam account later?
Yes, as long as you have claimed the drops you will be able to get them when you purchase Rust later (within 90 days). However, they will not automatically appear in your Steam inventory. You will need to make sure your account is linked on this page and then click the ‘Check for Missing Drops’ button. Please note that drops claimed more than 90 days ago will expire and not be redeemable to a Steam item.

If earned, this will be available in-game with New World’s launch on September 28, 2021.
How it works
Watch New World broadcasts on Twitch to get Drops
This Drop campaign is set to unlock 2 pieces of the entire 14 piece Vinespun Weapon Skin Set after 1-2 hours of viewing. Earning all 14 pieces will require 10 hours of cumulative viewership on any combination of creator channels that have enabled Drops when broadcasting New World.
Once claimed, link your Twitch account with your Steam account to receive rewards.
Each and every broadcast within the New World category that has enabled Drops counts towards your goal. This means you can view a combination of channels offering the Drop. A Drops status overlay can typically be found at the top of the chat window when enabled.
Typically, Drops will appear in-game within 24 hours. For the Verdant Trapper Drop and Golden Rage Drop, they will be available on September 28, 2021 when New World launches.
To check if you have any unclaimed Drops from past campaigns, visit your Drops inventory. Any existing drops will have a «Claim Now» button that you can click to continue the transaction.
Past drops included:
Golden Rage, Apparel skin. Formed in the molten-hot forges of the Great Cleave, this avatar of the hatred rises, gold and glittering. Was available exclusively during Closed Beta.
Verdant Trapper, Apparel skin. Cloaked in the furs of the wood, the trapper melds into their surroundings. Was available exclusively during the Aug 25, 2021 Gamescom broadcast.
If earned, the Drop will be available in-game with New World’s launch on September 28, 2021.
There will be 14 unique items bundled into 7 Drops. Drops unlock in this order:
Drop 1: Gaia Disc (Round Shield Skin) & Garden Wall (Tower Shield Skin) Watch for 1 hour to unlock.
Drop 2: Lush Armament (Spear Skin) & Vibrant Cleaver (Throwing Axe Skin) Watch for an additional hour (=2 cumulative hours)
Drop 3: Vinespin (Bow Skin) & Floral Flourish (Rapier Skin) Watch for an additional hour (=3 cumulative hours)
Drop 4: Lavender Blosson (Kite Shield Skin) & Verdant Clutch (Longsword Skin) Watch for 1.5 additional hours (=4.5 cumulative hours)
Drop 5: Hoarfrost Hand (Ice Gauntlet) & Gloomshot (Musket Skin) Watch for 1.5 additional hours (=6 cumulative hours)
Drop 6: Raven’s Revenge (Fire Staff Skin) & Pearlescence (Life Staff Skin) Watch for 2 additional hours (=8 cumulative hours)
Drop 7: Greengrip (Great Axe Skin) & Mosshandle (War Hammer Skin) Watch for 2 additional hours (=10 cumulative hours)
