I have discontinued work on this mod due to time constrains with new project. I have begun work on another collaboration with other Nexus mod teams.
You can support our kickstarter below
V.22 Updates
————————————————————
:35 animations added (mostly for rifles)
:Added support for all common rifle based weapons, including; Hunting rifle, Laster Rifle, Lever Rifles, Shotguns.
:sneaking version for rifles added (auto rifles still don’t have sneaking).
:Animation count has now reached roughly 80 animations.
:should minimize shoulder issues with power armor till I get around to animating them
:Known issues are some clipping with hand placement, and fingers not animated during reload.
V.13 Updates
————————————————————
:Fixes various small issues. PA clipping severely reduce on weapon idle. Pistol sneak animations added to pack.
:animation count with rifle pack is now roughly 60
Lever Rifle Pack Beta
————————————————————
Lever Rifle pack, lemme know what you guys think. I suggest using this only if you use lever rifles mostly, as it will mess up other rifle based weapons. Being shotguns, laser rifles, hunting rifle.
Install is the same as the main pack.
V.09c Updates
————————————————————
:fixed hopefully all neck issues
:tweaked standing idle to not be off balance
V.09b Updates
————————————————————
:Fixed crooked neck while aiming. Due to work issues I won’t be updating for possibly up to a week, so i wanted to get this out to people. Normally I won’t do such small updates.
V.09 Updates
————————————————————
:Fixes firing issues with rifles.
:Tweaked animations to rifles, and idles.
:Added pistol hip firing for all pistols minus 1 (which i think is mesmatron).
:Animation count is now at 30.
V.02 Updates
————————————————————
:Fixed the finger placement for rifles.
:Fixed hopefully all the aiming issues.
:Sniper rifle fires where you aim.
:PA weapon idle modified to match more with the non weapon idle.
:Lowered rifle position, fixes some head clipping with power armor, and has a better position based on the characters eye.
This is a re-animation project for Fallout 3 that I began in my spare time. While playing though the game I felt that the poses and animation just didn’t suit my taste, and kind of took away from my experience. Not to say they are poorly done, however they just weren’t my style. So I began looking at how to get animations into Fallout 3, and this is my result.
I’m a professional animator (although not in the biz long) and am using this project to help keep my skills up, as well as to enhance the game immersion which I feel could be increased with updated animations. Not necessarily requiring a quality update, as the Beth guys are great at their job, but just a different approach or style to the poses and animations such as rifle aiming, idles and so forth of the human characters.
My goal is to reanimate a significant amount of the human animations that are all game play related. Of which there are around 300 of them, and I say game play related, because there is another 700+ animations in the idle folder. So I’m working on pretty much all the action based animations that will play on your player character.
There are roughly 30 animations redone so far. Feel free to leave suggestions as to which animations you would like to see redone, and I will try and work the ones in high demand first.
I don’t suggest trying to mix and match these animations, as a lot are dependent on others.
Thanks to Saiden for helping me and answering some questions about the export process, which helped me to get these ingame.
Installation: Unzip to your fallout 3 directory, overwrite old files if updating. Does not require any esp/esms.
Requires ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated
I have not tested it with any other animation releases, so feel free to experiment. However I can’t guarentee that it will be compatible.
UnInstall: Simply delete the files and your back to normal.

This mod applies the game’s stimpak animation to the 3rd person player character. Each time you use a stimpak, your character will remove it from their inventory and inject themselves. This also creates a minor gameplay change as the animation is timed so that the restoration effect of the stimpak does not occur until the moment that you inject yourself. (As a consequence of this design, you’re no longer able to see how many health points stimpaks restore by hovering over them in the Pip-Boy Inventory screen.)
Unfortunately, this mod is not compatible with other mods that alter the stimpak base object. I’ve provided a number of different versions of this mod to choose from so hopefully at least one of them will match whatever mods you are using. If you’d like me to make another version that is compatible with a specific mod, then let me know and I’ll take a look at it.
Here are the different versions of the mod that are available. All of them restore the same amount of health but some of them do so more slowly than others. The first four restore crippled body parts:
Version 1: Restores health instantly, restores crippled body parts. (Same as vanilla Fallout 3)
Version 2: Restores health over 5 seconds, restores crippled body parts. (Same as Simple Realism)
Version 3: Restores health over 10 seconds, restores crippled body parts.
Version 4: Restores health over 15 seconds, restores crippled body parts.
The next four are identical except that instead of restoring crippled body parts, they only allow you to ignore them (return to normal movement speed and ignore the negative effects on your stats) for five minutes, after which the negative effects return. Note that the game will not allow you to use a stimpak from the inventory menu if your health is already full, but if you want to use a stimpak just for the ignore crippled effect, you can still do so from the Status screen on your Pip-Boy.
Version 5: Restores health instantly, ignores crippled body parts for 5 minutes.
Version 6: Restores health over 5 seconds, ignores crippled body parts for 5 minutes.
Version 7: Restores health over 10 seconds, ignores crippled body parts for 5 minutes.
Version 8: Restores health over 15 seconds, ignores crippled body parts for 5 minutes.
These last files add the animation to specific mods (without changing any other stimpak attributes set by these mods). There’s no version specifically for FWE as I haven’t received permission to make one. You can probably still use any version of this mod with FWE (version 2 is the closest to FWE stimpaks I think), but it will only play the animation for standard stimpaks and not for super stimpaks.
Important: Be sure to put these files below the respective mods in your load order.
Thanks to the FOOK team for FOOK2, Kearsage for Triage, and Kschenk for Real Injuries!

Improved Female Empty-Handed Running BETA
Author: Jahandar
Date: March 25, 2009
Version: v0.1
DESCRIPTION:
This is a beta version, it focuses primarily on the arms for the female empty-handed running animation. The vanilla animations have females running with their elbows sticking out like chicken wings, that has been corrected. Future versions will look closer at the posture and shoulder swaying.
Video showing the new animation (and the pistol animations in development) :
In case the embedded video does not work, it can be viewed at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cpopPIN-frA
CAVEATS FOR PISTOL USERS:
This is a beta, so its not perfect. Running and shooting with pistols is going to look bad. Well, it looks bad anyway, but this will just call more attention to it. I am working on replacement pistol animations (as shown in the video), but they are not quite ready yet. Until that time, I would hold off if you mostly use pistols.
That said, those who primarily use weapons other than 1-handed guns should have no problems. In fact, I’ve been using it for a month now, whenever I play.
WHAT’S HOLDING UP THE PISTOL ANIMATIONS?
Before the pistol animations are ready, I need to resolve a specific problem. After firing, there is a brief instant where the player will fall back to the idle animation before resuming the aim stance. This results in jerking «twitch» motion, which eliminates the point of trying to improve animations.
If anyone has any knowledge about this problem or thinks they can help, feel free to contact me.
OTHER ISSUES (new)
Some testers have reported a delay after each cycle in the animation loop. I had a problem of this sort while working on it, but it had appeared to be resolved (you’ll notice in the video that it isn’t happening for me). Anyway, I am aware of the problem and will try to resolve it as soon as I can.

If you want to get ahold of me, you can either post in the comments or PM me via my Nexus account.
I can also usually be found in the #fallout channel on the Freenode network, or #fallout3modding on Quakenet.

INSTALLATION
Alternatively, you can extract the meshes folder into your Data folder.
The fomod folder just contains preloaded information about the mod should you choose to install it as a FOMOD package in FOMM. If you’re manually extracting the files, you can ignore it.
Personally though, I turn each and every mod I download into a fomod, and never put files into my data directory myself. This goes a long way towards keeping things organized and transparent, and avoiding conflicts.
COMPATIBILITY
This has been tested and confirmed to work with both BABE and Dimon’s Type 3 body meshes, as well as Backsteppo’s idle animation that was released earlier this week, and the PCIdles mod.
The only thing that would cause a conflict is another mod that alters the female empty-handed running animation. To my knowledge, no other mod of this sort exists.
OTHER
I would recommend using this mod in conjunction with one of the mods that move the 3rd person camera behind the character, as shown in the video above. I recommend this just as a preference and because it I think it will give a better 3rd person experience, it is not required.
