Introduction
The HK416 was born out of a collaboration between the US Delta Army’s Delta Forces and German arms maker, Heckler & Koch. Due to its reliability over its direct-impingement cousin while offering the same ergonomic, the HK416 was a weapon of choice among special operation units around the world. Over 2 centuries later, many HK416 remains functional, and is among the most sought after weapons of any mercenaries due to its familiarity of the service rifle while offering superior durability.

Features
Highly customizable, including mounting two types of scopes at once!
Future-proof design, allowing further expansion.
Locations
Once your character reaches level 27, Proctor Teagan, Cricket, Arturo, and your settlement’s weapon shop should sell it. I’ve chosen not to spawn it on NPCs by default as it’s not a lore-friendly weapon (however, if you so wished, there’s an optional file for that, which will spawn the gun on Gunners). Mind you that this gun isn’t meant to be common, so merchants are unlikely to sell one every cycle.
You can also search up the gun’s ID using console command, help «HK416» 4 with a quotation is a recommended search term, make sure its signature is WEAP, then spawn it in your inventory using «player.additem» command.
Or you can you head to Boston Mayoral Shelter with an expert skill level in hacking.
Future Updates
More customization options, with a focus on optics and textures.
Custom animation (if I can eventually afford it).
As usual, bug fixes and rebalancing.

**The RU556 file is too big, and I don’t really use it in my gameplay**
Unfortunately, FX0x01 never replied to my message requesting permission to integrate the RU556 animation into my mod. And F34R, the animator that made the animation doesn’t give me the permission to use it. I have no choice but to make my gun dependent on other modder’s weapons (and yes, the cost to hire an animator is beyond my ability to pay). I’m so sorry everyone 🙁
However, you can keep only the main RU556 file and ESP, the overwhelming majority of the mod size is actually textures. Animations and sounds are archived in the main file, so you only need that.

I’m working on the next gun, and FX0x01 has made some of his gun animations publicly available for everyone to use. That means that I can integrate the RU556 animation into my mod, but I’m currently lacking the sound for reloading, so that has to be postponed until the original sound can be made.
Adds Aimpoint PRO, Colt LE stock, and PMAG to the modification option.
A small, but not any less fun update to play with has arrived.
XB1 version is now available!
Adds Aimpoint Acro, Leupold Mark8 CQBSS, and AAC 556-SD suppressor to the modification option.
Level-independent weapon can now be found in Boston Mayoral Shelter.
Trigger animation now should play out the way it should.
Remember when I said there’ll be 4 visual modification options and one muzzle? Well, I decided to add a few more on top of that!
Prices of each part are now scaled to 1/10th of real life’s market price.
Trijicon ACOG, Elcan SpecterDR, and EOTech G33 now have a real-life magnifying factor to it. Immersive!
Crafting components are now based on real-life gun assembly, and the requirement is simplified. Better stock up on those screws!
Improvement in some textures, this will keep on improving, thanks to the modding community for the support! (shoutout to WhiskeyRiver223 for teaching me the basics of specular map)
Lowers.
I just noticed that some people’s screenshots show the weapon trigger not locating in the right position. That’s unacceptable on my part, so a quick fix was made, and it’s already done. Hopefully that it worked for everyone 🙂

Legacyslayer & Toadie2k’s Nation Independent Arsenal HK416
This mod adds Toadies HK416 (and variants) to the Boston Commonwealth, complete with custom animations, an in depth modding system, custom sounds and tons of interchangeable camo options using a custom space saving method I designed from the ground up.
To start the mod, simply craft «NIArms HK416 Introduction and Use» and the «HK416 Modlist» from any Chemistry Station under the HK416 Mod Intro category. MAKE SURE TO READ THE INTRO THOROUGHLY, theres alot to this mod and you will be confused unless you read it!
Also make sure when you change calibers that you add the proper Barrel, Bolt Select Fire Mode and Magazine, or the gun will either A. Not work at all, or B. bullets will fly out of the barrel at every angle but forward!
— For the Beta, you can craft everything you will need at the Chem WorkBench and All the mods are free to craft at the Weapons Workbench. When changing Receiver to another Caliber you will have to select the proper mag in order to use the weapon.
— Weapons will still spawn in the Leveled Lists, but its untouched from previous versions. This will be addressed in the Final 0.95 Version
— Animations still are not perfect, and not something i can fix yet.. But most have been improved where able
— Replaced the Less Than Lethal HK416 with my latest HK Prototype: The HK CQ12 shotgun
— The main feature of this mod is my Legacy System Framework and I will go over some of the brief features included:
Legacy Weapon System: This is a very powerful, scratch-made framework that allows you to create insanely customizable weapon systems, with multiple attachments per rail, depending on the handguards size and rails available.
Legacy Sight System: This is an Add-On framework that relies on my Legacy Weapon System. This allows to select realistic optics, Magnification Options, Reticle Options and as a bonus: set a Dead Center zoom-data for perfectly aligned Sights every time, all without even having to load the CK or Game.
Legacy Camo System: This is a simple and lightweight Camo system that allows you to have hundreds of Camo options, without the need for a whole new texture set for every item. Every SWAP in this mod utilizes this system, and while its not perfect and has limitations it is still a very useful Framework.
Legacy Ammo System: Ammo is the basic necessity for every single gun mod, and while im sure there are better options out there I wanted to make my own personal system. My system has scratch made assets that are higher quality than vanilla, yet UV Mapped to Vanilla 10MM textures to be extremely Lightweight. In addition to bullets, this Framework also features a custom projectile, Ballistics and Muzzleflash system.
Legacy Loadouts System: This is a complex series of leveled lists for NPCs that allows them spawn with «Roles». Though it is very limited in this mod, the fully fleshed out system is already active in Modern Firearms. It allows an NPC to spawn with a Primary weapon that has limited ammo, Secondary Weapon with Limited Ammo and either a Sidearm with Unlimited Ammo, or a melee of some flavor. It also has a chance to spawn a mini-boss with a badass gun and inflated stats, from any Humanoid NPC.
All the Framework listed in detail above shall be referred to as my Legacy System, and I retain full copyright for all of my hard work. However, in the future I will be making this system available as a free to use modders resource MasterFile, with brief tutorials on how to use this system for your own weapon mods
Quick New Features Guide:
Ballistic Shields, with the exception of the real life X-Armaments, will require both Left and Right Slot 3 BlackBeard Mounts. Using the shield gives you a perk that has a chance to negate received damage (Bullet hit the shield instead of you) that increases when crouched.
Added a new FOV option that allows you to customize how close or far you are from optics. This feature allows you to have a Zoomed out HK416 Shotgun or SMG, and a Zoomed in HK416 Marksmen Rifle at the same time. Some clipping may occur.
Optics, will always require a Reticle and some have Magnification options if the real steel optic does. Illuminated Reticles are meant for Reflex and Combat Scopes while Standard Reticles are designed for Magnified scopes.
Flashlights and Lasers, Require Lightbulb and Laser options respectively. Having multiple lasers works great, however multiple flashlights will not work due to the way the engine implements light overrides.
Certain Handguards may have limited, or no Rail options.
Credits: 90% of the assets used are from Toadie2K, or made from her assets. But some assets are from others and they are credited below.
