Winchester Pack Introduction
My first ever weapon mod, please be gentle.

Way over a year ago now I was given permission to port over Type2Error’s awesome Western Rifle pack from New Vegas. To be honest I had no idea what I was doing when I asked, but after all this time and developing my knowledge I have finally been able to complete it.

Does that mean I know what I am doing now? Probably not.

With that being said this pack does seem to work fine and I am excited to share this with everybody. Hope you all enjoy.

What’s Included?
There are two weapons included in this pack. The Winchester Model 1894 and 1876. Two of the greatest guns of all time now brought to Fallout 4. There are also two special versions to be found out in the commonwealth. Happy hunting!

This is a pretty simple couple of weapons, do not expect any fancy laser dot sights or grenade launchers.

If you want to add on to this mod then please do!

You will find both rifles in shops and on npc’s out in the world. The 1894 is substantially more common than the 1876.

REQUIRMENTS
Although not a hard requirement, you will need HITMANS Right handed lever action reanimation pack for these guns to look right. And honestly, why wouldn’t you already be using those animations?

NO CALIBER COMPLEX PATCH.
I know, shocking.

But didn’t you make CALIBER COMPLEX.

Yes, but I am in the process of building a HUGE update to the mod. When I release the update a dedicated CALIBER COMPLEX V4 version of this mod will release.

A 5mm rifle that is a sort of Fallout-ified version of the M1 Carbine/M14/Mini14 family. Built on the Combat Rifle, but designed to be ambidextrous, so you can use Wardaddy’s Combat Shotgun/Rifle animations, or OpheliaNeoma’s Right Handed ones for some better animations.

Lore
The Winchester Range Rifle was originally marketed as a sort of ‘throwback’ weapon released as part of the hundred year celebrations of the end of WWII. It was to be Winchester’s new answer to the increasingly popular Colt Rangemaster and aging Ruger Mini-14 Ranch Rifle. Unfortunately, being chambered in a somewhat uncommon round, and competing against WWII reproduction weapons released at the same time, it did not sell well. Only about half of the original 3000 rifle run made into buyers’ hands. Over the next couple of decades a few were occasionally requested by police departments, but it wasn’t until late 2075, when Guns and Bullets magazine included a small article detailing how to convert the weapon to automatic fire, that the remaining weapons finally flew off shelves. Wastelanders still use the same automatic modification today.

-Alternate file to replace Combat Rifle meshes to get the Range Rifle appearance.

Version 1.1
-Fixed an issue that could make some versions of the Range Rifle spawn with Combat Rifle parts.

-Balanced some mixed up rate of fire numbers to their intended values. Automatic ROF is up to 1.5 from 1.2. Base semi-auto is the opposite.

Notes
-Base damage at 31, a bit lower than the Combat Rifle, but it will cap out just barely under the CR, and without having to switch ammo types.

— To use irons sights and/or remove the rail, be sure to choose the «No scope» option. The scopes list will be empty if you do not have a sight rail equipped for them.

-If you are asked to overwrite, or get a conflict with «WeaponLLInject» you can safely overwrite/ride. Same with any common files from my Rangemaster.

-Uses ‘Assault Rifle’ sounds. You’ll just have to live with it. I tried to pick something that I figured most people had replaced.

Compatibility

This mod adds a new rifle to the game: The Cowboy Repeater from New Vegas, also known as Winchester Model 92.
It comes with custom animations for the reload and bolt cycle, thanks to the kindness of hitman47101 who not only did he let me use his animations, but also provided me with its source files.

Also, big thanks to Ajhakra for his awesome cubemaps!

The cowboy repeater has made it’s way to The Commonwealth thanks to an entrepreneur old man called «El Mudo» and to his friend, a tough guy named Sue. «El Mudo» is a retired NCR ranger, who is importing ammunition and ruined rifles from New Vegas to make ends meet.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

The gun can be crafted in the chem station. But. you can’t create a Winchester Rifle from scratch! You will actually have to restore a ruined one:

To be able to restore it, you’ll have to find an issue of the magazine «Guns and Bullets». Don’t worry, there’s a small quest that will start at level 12 and will guide you to the location of both items.

There’s also a slight chance of finding the Cowboy Repeater in Raiders or Gunners bosses after level 16.

«El Mudo» will start selling the ruined version of the rifle after level 21 at his store (he will sell ammo starting at level 1 though). Click Spoiler to see the location of El Mudo’s Store.

Чтобы восстановить её, нужно найти журнал «Пистолеты и Пули». Не переживайте, в моде есть специальный квест который начнётся с 12 уровня и покажет вам местонахождение журнала и винтовки.

Также присутствует небольшой шанс найти Винтовку Ковбоя у боссов рейдеров или оружейников после 16 уровня.

«Эль Мудо» начнёт продавать сломанные версии винтовки после 21 уровня в его магазине (он продаёт патроны начиная с 1 уровня).

Присутствует также уникальная версия оружия: «La Longue Carabine» (длинный карабин), который был когда-то у Капрала Стерлинга, но каким-то образом очутился в Содружестве. Его можно найти недалеко от Коттеджа на берегу, идя по дороге на север:

Hello everyone. I decided to play with the GECK a bit and like I did in New Vegas, I have created the Wattz-Winchester Weapons Pack. I had fun playing with these weapons and I hope that you all do as well!

Before I go into details about what is in this pack, let me go ahead and answer a couple of queries that came up in my last WW weapons pack.
1) If you feel that even the standard version of the weapons are OP and take issue with it, do not use them. Constructive criticism is one thing; not only that, I did this for fun. Bitchers will be ignored. 2)No, they do not have their own skins. They use skins that are already in game; I am not an artist and would not even start to be able to make one. If you want to re skin them, go for it; I have no issue with anyone editing this mod. Credit would be nice though.

Now without further ado the Watzz/Winchester Weapons Pack.

Wattz and Winchester were working on some experimental weapons before the war. Some of these weapons were found about 6 years back in New Vegas, now some have turned up in Boston; the cases of weapons laying beside a red sports car behind the Red Rocket station by Sanctuary Hills.

Location: The weapons and ammo are located beside a red sports car, by the rocks behind the Red Rocket in which you meet Dogmeat.

Weapon Types and Cases: One chest has the Ammo. The other chest the X-series of the weapons, along with the Nuke Weapons. The Last has the standard version of the weapons.

Ammo case: The ammo case has a lot of, well, ammo in it. It is stacked at the maximum stack size the game allows. Choose transfer instead of just looting to get the amount of ammo you want. There is ammo for all
weapons in this pack. Some weapons have to have special ammo to function.

Standard Version Weapons: These weapons are just like a clone of the original weapons, only they have the have new attributes that are listed below. The only time the base damage of these weapons has been raised
from the standard is when it is specified in the description.

X-series and Nukers- New attributes aside, these are about 25% to 30% more powerful than their base versions. They are also silent. Needless to say, they are a rather powerful.

Wattz Laser: Emits a high powered blue laser. The laser is slightly more powerful than conventional lasers
and can be converted to serve many roles at the mod bench.

Wattz Gauss Rifle: The Wattz Guass Rifle is pretty much your run of the mil Gauss Rifle, only a bit more powerful and a it has a faster charge time.

Winchester Rifle: Specially bored for that extra punch, the bullets leave the barrel with an electrical charge and it comes equipped with patient pending sound suppression.

Winchester Boomstick: This is a shot gun with a bit of attitude. Not only do you get to blow your foes away with buck shot the pellets explode on impact. «Shop smart, shot S-Mart». (Yes, I know it was a Remington in Armies of Darkness and no they were not explosive shells, just let me have my moment. )

The following weapons are considered standard but really belong in the X-Series category.

Wattz Gauss Nuker: This Rifle not only shoots out a powerful beam but on impact causes an explosion that rivals the Fatmans mini nuke.

Wattz Doom Ray: Much like the Gauss Nuker, only a far larger explosion.

Winchester Big Boomstick: This shot gun shoots out an nuclear explosive slug. (About 1/6 the size of a regular Fatman)
