Description
The Brotherhood of Steel have been known to lose some people. Sometimes to battles, but sometimes to ideology. Sometimes a brother decides to go his own way and make his own path. One such brother found his true calling along side the regulators. But never comfortable without his armor, he found a way to keep the second skin he felt so naked without. Rumor has it he retired somewhere north of the Vegas Strip, perhaps trying the quieter life of a rancher.
What this mods contains:
An armored duster, made from the BoS recon armor and a regulators cowboy duster. Up close there is no disguising the nature of this armor, but at first glance it will pass as a duster. It has the stats of a duster but the DT and weight of recon armor (Medium armor, DT 17).
Question: Isn’t this the same model used in your Stealth Armor mod?
Answer: Yeah, you got me. I reused the model because I am doing a cowboy playthrough 😛
Question: Whats the difference?
Answer: This has no stealth, less stats, and is medium armor rather than light. Plus its a little easier to acquire.
Question: Where can I find the items?
Answer: There is a locations spoiler file included.
Question: Don’t you think 17 is too high DT for a duster?
Answer: Yeah, but its not too high for recon armor, and its lower DT than the ranger armor and the reinforced combat armors which are medium armors. Look at it carefully, this is not just a coat. Its actually a larger and thicker version of the vanilla recon armor.
Question: Can you do a version that looks just like the normal duster?
Answer: With DT 17? No. Sorry.
Question: I found a hat near the armor, did you put it there?
Answer: Yeah, everyone needs a lucky hat. This is yours. Hope it’s Vegas enough for you.

IF YOU ARE EXPERIENCING A BUG WITH THORNE (HE ONLY SAYS «. «), USE THE GNOME PLUGIN.
SPEAK TO THE SUPERNATURAL GNOME RESIDING ON THE TABLE BESIDE THORNE.
That’s one thing that bugged me about the dialogue options with Virgil (Marko) as well. No matter what choice you make Virgil always turned it around to make you look bad. I can imagine it happening if the main character (The Courier) was built as some goody two-shoes seeker of justice and protector of the innocent or something where Virgil’s guilt tripping would work. My current character however cared more about fulfilling contracts and less about innocents and personally I don’t think there were proper dialogue lines she could have chosen to reflect that way of thinking.
Nonetheless, it still felt a bit satisfying when she killed each and every one of Virgil’s targets before he can make his speeches which evidently irritated him.
Oh, I’m glad I’m not the only one who thinks so! The first two mods made him more intimidating than he actually was. I was kind of disappointed when I finally met tbh. I actually prefer Ulysses over this guy but that’s just me. But I don’t hate Marko! There’s just something about the mc’s interaction with the guy that comes off incredibly awkward. He seemingly has ‘every’ potential dialogue covered.
It was particularly obvious in the writing when you meet up with him again in Frosthill (he’s got this long monologue and you just have to sit and listen to him i’m like ok man lmao)— and at the last standoff where Marko’s all like, hey before you say anything, here’s a list of things why you’re wrong, and then we’re given a list of ridiculous things to ‘snap back’ at him but of course, he always has a retort. Can’t even debate with him— like what the other commenter said, it’s Marko’s way or nothing. He’s like a kid who thinks he has to have the last laugh. It doesn’t help that everyone seems to be on their knees, praising or fearing the guy like he’s some untouchable god. His legend lives on. Yikes lmao. Even Ulysses ain’t that obnoxious. I did enjoy our time when he was Virgil though, believe it or not. Nice of him to give me his entire backstory. xD
Pity I couldn’t snipe the guy in the graveyard scene. I was forced to talk to him because player controls were disabled. If the back of his head could talk, I bet it’d probably say I’m a coward for not confronting him head-on. But honestly? I find it pointless to even speak to him. There’s no way we’d find a middle ground and an anti-climactic death would be a fitting reply to Marko.
A big showdown is exactly what this story wants and not giving it an opportunity is the only way to ‘win’. Wish there was a different ending depending on your karma or something. My character is good so I’m okay with her feeling bad over the town massacre but I know not all couriers are gonna care about seeing everyone die in front of them. We’re sorta forced to ‘limp back to the Mojave with scars forever :(‘ lol.
» Though Marko was dead, the Courier had not emerged from the contest unscathed. She would bear physical and mental scars for the rest of
her life. Quietly enduring her injuries, she steadily limped back to the Mojave Wasteland, where uncertainty. and war. awaited her.»
I think that’s how the ending went, but in my FNV head canon (my own playthrough), I would’ve added «. and in the end, it was just another bounty.»
speaking from my own personal head cannon when playing this mod i always see it as this:
«The Courier looked down at the rapidly cooling body of the recently slain «Marko / Virgil» and for a few moments felt a wave of emotion wash over them at the memory of so much loss for no reason. then with a grim smile The Courier turned and walked away knowing his friend Steven Randal finally got his revenge and while The Courier would carry the scars until their dying day for some at least it was more proof that another monster in the dark that haunted the nightmares of the innocent could be killed but to The Courier it was just another Bounty»

NEW VEGAS BOUNTIES I
THIS MOD REQUIRES THE SOMEGUYSERIES.ESM VERSION 2.0
THIS MOD IS INCOMPATIBLE WITH MASTER UPDATE

Description:
«New Vegas Bounties I» is the first installment in a planned series for Fallout: New Vegas. Upon initiating the quest, you’ll be tasked with tracking down the most malevolent and vile assortment of outlaws in the Mojave Wasteland.
Your targets will include rogue rangers, fiends, raiders, drug smugglers, cannibals, and pistoleros, to name a few. Your opponents are all designed to be boss-caliber, akin to the fiends in «Three-Card Bounty», and become gradually more difficult as you progress.
It includes 436 lines of fully-voiced dialogue (as of version 1.2). I will continue to polish the lip-syncing in future updates, as it is a time-consuming process (and I’ve gained new respect for voiced mods!).
If you love it, hate, or are just indifferent, please post comments. My mods live and die by users who provide feedback!
Balancing:
This is an ongoing project, and I will adjust difficulty and rewards based on player feedback. Currently the mod will grant the player an addition perk for increased DT upon completion. (+ 2% DT)
As of version 1.2, the mod includes the [Taunt] speech option in confrontations with the final boss; when this is selected it will dramatically enhance the difficulty of the fight.
Compatibility:
— I try to ensure that my mods are as low-impact/conflict as possible. Besides a handful of remote bunkers and a shack, this mod only consists of NPC’s, so it should be conflict-free. Please let me know if anything arises.
Voice Acting: Version 1.5+ introduces an expanded, much-improved voice acting cast:
— Alex: IronsGrasp
— Chesty: IronsGrasp
— Chuck Bowdrie: Sirropoo
— Cullen: PitchPerfect
— Dallas Courtright: Zaf
— Fred: Zaf
— Jack: Ben Britton (The_Yellow_Dart)
— Jasper: Sirropoo
— Javier Sugar: PitchPerfect
— Generic guard:
— Luke McCaffery: Zaf
— Mago: PitchPerfect
— Ricky: PitchPerfect
— Rowdy Dalton: PitchPerfect
— The Judge: MartinPurvis

— The mod is compatible with companions in a technical sense, but I recommend leaving them at home in the interests of balance and difficulty (the final fight notwithstanding).

NEW VEGAS BOUNTIES III
THIS MOD REQUIRES THE SOMEGUYSERIES.ESM, Honest Hearts, and Lonesome Road
Description:
New Vegas Bounties III is the final installment in the New Vegas Bounties series of quest mods. It features several hours of content, a frigid, new worldspace and over 2,000 lines of voiced dialogue.
Installation:
Extract the contents of the data folder from the archive into your New Vegas data folder. Ensure you have the Someguyseries.esm in your load order and activated.
Getting Started:
Once the mod is loaded, you will be prompted to speak with Virgil, who can be found outside Randall & Associates.
NOTE: The current build is strictly standalone. Though scripted events are tied to the Someguyseries.esm, I elected to make the quest as accessible as possible for the time being. I have also come to appreciate just how unreliable this engine is after five years of modding, so I favor simplicity. If you are starting a new playthrough, I strongly advise you to de-activate NewVegasBountiesIII.esp until the first two installments are complete. On the other hand, you are now free to throw the strictures of plot and chronological presentation to the wind, should you so choose.
Feedback:
Though I’ve steadily warped into a bitter drunk in the past half-decade, I still value constructive criticism. However, I have absolutely zero patience for pedantic diatribes or whining in general. Okay, polite whining is acceptable, but anything that’s mean-spirited in tone will earn a block/ban as quickly as my beer-stained fingers can click the mouse. Is «Mean-spirited» subjective? Certainly! On the other hand, did I invest hundreds of hours of my free time to digest invective from misanthropes? Absolutely not. If something is wrong, please tell me. Just don’t be a dick about it.
A Warning:
If you have played any of my mods, then you are familiar with my tendency to wield profanity with reckless abandon. We’re all adults (supposed to be, anyway) playing a game with many mature themes. If sustained outbursts of swearing will render you dyspeptic, then do the mature thing and don’t play the mod. Oh, and for God’s sake, please don’t PM me and complain about profanity.
Difficulty:
This is a challenging mod. Not Sword of Sigdan challenging, but difficult nonetheless, even for high-level players. The minimum recommended level is 35.
Companions:
Don’t bring them. You have been warned.
Overview/Statistics:
— Over 2,000 lines of dialogue
— Two new armor sets
— Includes a new worldspace, «Deep Creek Mountains»
— The main quest provides roughly 3+ hours of gameplay
— FO3-style random encounters
— Beginning and ending slideshows
— A cameo by one classy individual
Compatibility:
— No known conflicts to date
