Hey, I haven’t played this game, not any other game in a few months. I am a full time student with two majors, and a full time job. I don’t have alot of time on my hands. I hope someone writes me a PM if this does not work with the DLC. It works for 80% of the people out there and I don’t have the time to track down and figure out why t doesn’t for the 20% of you. Its more then likely a computer problem. I will update this if it is common knowledge that it does not work with the DLC otherwise, please consider this the final version. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Sorry to inform everyone, Fallout New Vegas was patched and it broke this, I am going to try a fix this tomorrow, but since I haven’t even had the chance to play this since Sunday, I don’t know what is exactly happening, if anyone know what happened please pm me so I can try to fix this, thanks.

Unless something is completely broken to where most users cant use this file, I am taking a break from this and working on an actual mod for Fallout New Vegas, Hope you all keep an eye out for it, Its going to be called «WMO-Weapon Mods Overhaul», Fixing and adding new features to Weapon Mods! I will check and reply to all comments, emails, and questions you may have with this program still. So if you need any help with this or anything else involving mods, I have been doing it for a few years, I will be more than glad to offer you help.

This is not a port of Quarn’s program ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated! I did not look at his code nor do I know how he did it. I based my idea of his hence the reason he deserves all of the credit.
This program eliminates the need for ArchiveInvalidation.txt by creating a dummy bsa and loading it.
Whats coming?
-set bLoadFaceGenHeadEGTFiles to 1 which is supposed to fix problems with NPC’s added by mods to have a proper face to skin as set in the GECK. Forgot about this, sorry. Probably going to get around to it alter, doesn’t seem that important right now, and I want to head off to bed, so probably tomorrow.
-And if you can think of anything let me know, ill try adding it.

Fallout: New Vegas
Archive invalidation is for replacing vanilla assets with new ones. If the mod just adds new stuff altogether, you must have installed it incorrectly if its showing red diamonds. i.e.: the models weren’t extracted to the right folder or at all. NMM sometimes doesn’t extract everything if it’s not run as admin.
You could uninstall and reinstall the mod while running NMM as admin or just extract the models to the right folder yourself from the Fomod file of the mod.
If you are referring to this file below..
Then you do not «Activate» it using Nexus Mod Manager.
Open/extract the archive and copy the following files to your FNV data folder.

ArchiveInvalidation File Generator

Description:
The ArchiveInvalidation.txt File Generator is a utility for manually generating the ArchiveInvalidation.txt file, primarily for use with hi-res texture mods. This version will work for Oblivion, Fallout 3, and Fallout New Vegas.
There’s no doubt that many users have already found work arounds for getting custom textures to work correctly, however this is intended for those who wish to manually generate this file.
For myself, with Fallout New Vegas, I have not found a satisfactory alternative yet (Fallout New Vegas ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated hasn’t been updated in years), and have been manually maintaining this file instead. So far, despite being a manual process, this approach has worked perfectly for me.
The tool scans for all dds files that are located under the games Data folder:
and then builds the list of files:
My hope is that others may also find it useful as well.
Uninstall:
None really. Simply delete the ArchiveInvalidation.exe file.
Important Notes:
Please keep in mind that as you change (add/remove) your texture mods, you must rerun the «Enable Invalidation» option again to refresh the ArchiveInvalidation.txt file. Doing this will ensure that the file is updated with the latest files you have.
If you encounter any problems though, please let me know by posting the issue on the Nexus Site, and I’ll get it fixed asap.
