I found two Threads on a similar issue, but nether seemed to haves solution that worked, or referenced other files.

Expected Behavior
Clients disconnect, no error on server side.
Possible Solution
I’m not good at modify mods to maybe remove the items, or if the items are important to the mod.
Steps to Reproduce (for bugs)
Removed installed files from server and reinstalled several times.
Reinstalled local clients. Note: Clients worked when solo.

The server is missing or has broken configs/scripts. Please re-install the entire server and try again.
This means deleting all configs/scripts/mods before re-uploading. Also, ensure your client is the correct version and try a fresh install of that also. But that’s your issue here.

Greetings. Been running a modded Minecraft server for a while, but suddenly yesterday(2.December 2017) every attempt by anyone to join is met with the message: «Connection lost, Fatally missing registry entries»
The server is running on a custom made modpack(Compiled by a friend of mine) and is running Minecraft 1.12.2 with Forge-14.23.1.2555 on a Linux based OS.
Serverside, the attempt looks like this:

Its the Error about Harvestcraft:owl that caught my attention, since it seems to be popping up again and again.
Have attempted: «/kill @e[type=!Player]» to kill all entities, in case it was a bugged «Owl» in one of the claimed and loaded chunks, but that changed the variable to Portalgun:owl.hurt ect.
I suspect this could be caused by the entity ID or some kind of ID conflict that i have tried to look into.
Have attempted several times to remove mods i suspected to be causing this, but nothing seems to help. Any input would be of great help 
And I»ll try to provide any information needed.

What I did: Opened FTB Revelations 3.2.1 for 1.12 Java MC on PC (Windows 10) via Twitch App
I joined a multiplayer server that definitely worked yesterday. I saw the error in title first, then I retried and I saw this one.
Then I saw this one after wiping the local config
UPDATE: changing the clock back to 2019 supposedly fixed this
UPDATE 2: ok, swell, we restarted the server and now it works without a date change. GG team

I experienced this the moment my server (east coast) ticked midnight 2020. I have clients in several time zones.
Similar errors.
Folks that WERE running and actively connected to the server during the new year stayed connected. Folks that joined shortly after were greeted with that error. Folks that were running during the switch and stayed online after midnight were not able to reconnect after logging off.
Changing the clock is not working in this instance, as it causes issues with authentication.
