Word of advice, there is a fairly good way to modify ragdolls when keepcorpses is off that I used in the addon I’ve made (although I must give credit to Jackarunda, who made jmod, for teaching me the trick)
Basically, for npc ragdolls, use the function ents.FindInSphere(position,radius) to get a table of nearby entities on the clientside (when keepcorpses is off, ragdolls are done on the clients) and compare the entries to «class C_ClientRagdoll» using ent:GetClass()
For player ragdolls, you have to get their ragdoll using ply:GetRagdollEntity() (beware, I get that information on the server and then network it to the clients the way i use it, also, it returns 2 different entities depending upon if it is being run on server or client). Btw, for safety, I validate the ragdoll on the client (after being networked) against «class C_HL2MPRagdoll», but i validate the ragdoll on the server against «class hl2mp_ragdoll»
Btw, ragdolls also freeze after a certain amount of time by default, changeable by setting ragdoll_sleepaftertime

RagMod essentially allows you to become a ragdoll. You become ragdoll when falling, taking damage, going fast or optionally with a keybind. The addon is highly configurable and you can change all of the ragdoll triggers.
The addon also allows death ragdolls be replicated and synced to all clients.
ONLY HL2 RAGDOLLS ARE GUARANTEED TO WORK! Others might but most wont work

To become a ragdoll, type into console:
Replace the with any key you want to use as the ragdolling key
Get up from ragdoll mode, press your JUMP key.
Note that almost all of the features are configurable to your liking. All of the settings can be found below in the Configuring section
Press your CROUCH button to fly.
Use WASD to roll while you are in the ragdoll mode.
Press left and right mouse buttons to reach out with your respective arms.
While reaching, press your SPRINT key to grab small props near your hand.
This also drops the item if you already have an item in your hand.
By pressing left and right mouse buttons alternately you can swim
Enable door breaching from the settings (see below).
Run towards a door and rag before hitting it. If you are fast enough, you will break the door.
Open your spawnmenu with Q, on the right side you can see your tool menu. Select the «RagMod» tab from the top and then select «RagMod Settings».
All of the settings are now on the right.
After doing this you can also access the settings by pressing the «Context menu» key (Default C).

Ragdoll Mover
What is it?
Ragdoll Mover is a tool that allows you to move ragdolls in a similar way to 3D programs. This also includes IK chains.
Why should I use it?
If you are fine with physgun, then maybe you don’t need to use this. But here’s a few key features of why you might want to use this in certain situations:
-You can move ragdolls without limitations from the ragdoll physics; you can twist the ragdoll’s head upside down without problems.
-When you rotate a bone, it’s child bones will rotate with it. So you can rotate the ragdoll’s arm like you’ve welded the lower arm and hand to the upper arm. (Except, as mentioned, without physical limitations.)
-By moving the ragdoll’s root bone (usually the pelvis), you can move the entire ragdoll like it’s a statue!
-Contrary to bones moving relatively to their parent bones, there’s IK chains. IK chains are used to keep certain bones in an exact position while moving, for example, the rest of the body. This is most commonly used with legs and arms.

I have a remake of the tool in the works, but it’s not really a priority right now, so it might take a long time to get it done.
