Бездушные машины снова сделали нашу жизнь чуточку лучше: энтузиаст вооружился нейронными сетями AI Gigapixel и прокачал текстуры в первой Half-Life и её дополнениях.
Получившийся мод назвали ReSrced. По словам автора под ником Leaufai, разрешение новых текстур стало в четыре раза выше оригинального, благодаря чему игры сияют похорошевшими изображениями неба, окружения, моделей и прочего.
Изменениям подверглись почти все поверхности, не считая текстур с прозрачностью (например, решётки и ограждения), некоторых небольших анимированных текстур и текстур неба в мире Зен — они от нейросетевой прокачки выглядят хуже прежнего, говорит Leaufai.
Всего получилось несколько тысяч свежих изображений. Leaufai уверяет, что протестировал мод от начала и до конца — в Half-Life всё идеально, а в Opposing Force и Blue Shift встречаются лишь незначительные проблемы.
ReSrced работает с оригинальными версиями Half-Life, Opposing Force и Blue Shift, поддерживает официальный High Definition Pack от Valve 2001 года выхода, а также дружит с фанатским патчем Super Definition Pack — это комплект улучшений, собранный на основе консольных вариаций Half-Life.
