A game actually worth reviewing for once
so i’ve been playing this game since may 12, 2021 (as of writing this it’s june 11, 2022), and it’s still very fun, and i’m still unlocking tons of new content even now. there’s so many games like this, including idle heroes, idle rpg, mirage memorial, you get the deal. the thing that sets idle angels apart, however, is that you can actually compete against players who spend tons of money on the game (we call these players “p2p,” or pay to play) without ever spending a single penny (“f2p,” or free to play; i am f2p). you unlock new stuf pretty frequently, so there’s not any lack of content on that front. the players are really nice and sociable, too, and you’ll even notice some regulars in the chat (like me, “Splash”). there’s many servers to play on so you play against people who started around the same time as you. these are called “battle zones,” and are really hard to explain but all you need to know is that it’s a nice touch. i’ve never reviewed a game in my life (i would review minecraft but it’s popular enough that i don’t even need to review it), but this game is so good and underrated i felt the need to review it. basically, what i’m saying is, play this game, it’s fun.
Good for both F2P and P2W
I have been playing this game for about 5 months and I’m still having fun! If you log in 2-3 times per day to collect idling rewards and watch ads, and you have a little patience, you can be competitive while never spending a penny. If you are less patient, and don’t mind spending a little, there are plenty of deals and events to micro-transact your way to glory.
On the down side, new servers open every week and die off within a couple months and no efforts are made to consolidate dead servers. Also, the devs have started releasing new features and angels more quickly than they used to and the events are starting to focus more on spending money so I am concerned about where this game is headed.
Crash Simulator
I’ve never written a review for a game but I’m motivated to do so with this one because I loved it enough to put money into it, another thing I never do. BUT IT CONSTANTLY CRASHES. Every 3 minutes it crashes, and it didn’t used to do this. I’ve stopped spending money on it because of the crashes. My device is updated and I run it with zero other apps in the background and it still crashes every few minutes. It’s unenjoyable and I wish I could get my money back because at this rate, I can’t even play it. Super frustrating. Not only that, you can feel it stutter and lag during certain parts of the game (upgrading your angels in any way).
Other than that, it’s cute and fun and pretty straight forward. Feels very rewarding. I would say you could play it F2P if you don’t want to be competitive. If you do though, prepare to drop serious dough. The only other complaint I have besides the obvious CRASHES, is the English translations are terrible. I can usually ignore a couple small mistakes, but the frequency of terrible English syntax irks me and makes me wonder if they care enough about their game to get the language polished up.
If the devs see this, please fix the crashes.
