The newest Super Hostile Map! After a year and a half of development, I proudly present Super Hostile: Dalania.

Collect wool from dungeons to rank up your class and become a walking Victory Monument. While exploring and leaving your mark upon nations and the wild wilderness. It’s like Skyrim and Super Hostile CTM Maps mixed together! The entire map is the continent of Dalania, and within you will find 16 mega-dungeons, over 25 small dungeons, huge cities, towns, remote villages, secrets, and beautiful terrain.

Dalania version 1.0.041 is now available here! There was some feedback Vechs decided to add in and get put up for you guys ASAP! The main changes include:
– Most towns now offer the special horse egg shop, this way vanilla players also get faster travel for the large map! (These riding horses have a speed of 0.5 which means they can travel the 13,000 block span of Dalania in about 8 minutes.)
– Fixed bug that would spawn new players in creative mode
– Changed the function of Set Player Spawn based on feedback
– Added crafting tables to the tops of the mage towers
– Added signs saying welcome to all the towns so players know where they are better
– Added FAQ.txt to base map folder

Dalania is best played with the Official Super Hostile Modpack, as it adds even more aspects of medieval fantasy adventure while staying true to Minecraft gameplay and art style. We suggest using the CurseForge Mod Manager Client to download the modpack easily.

Inferno Mines

1.5.2 ONLY, loads in 1.6 and 1.15

Inferno Mines is the twelfth map in the Super Hostile series, a map collection made by Vechs. It is one of the harder maps of the series and is the first to use command blocks. It also employs the «Hunter CTM» style of gameplay to complete the optional Hunter Victory Monument and acquire some of the wool.

Overview

Inferno Mines takes place in ‘The Great Inferno’ that used to have tons of resources in every location. Hane Corp, a mining company, came down to these mines and tapped them of their resources. They set up their base in what is now known as ‘Hane’s Disgrace’. The map itself is a massive ring of lava with all the dungeons and areas around it. Outside of this is the ‘Outer Inferno’ a site of a lost civilization. However, none of Hane Corp made it out this far.

Sea of Flame II

Sea of Flame is the first installment of the Super Hostile series, a CTM map series by Vechs. Like many Vechs maps, it has a unique theme, and has even been referenced in a later map, Legendary.

Overview

Sea of Flame II takes place on islands in a sea of lava. The map is divided into areas and dungeons, with areas generally being less hostile, acting like intersections between other areas and dungeons, and dungeons being challenges in which the player finds exactly one of the wool blocks required for the Victory Monument.

This map is a complete remake of the original Sea of Flame, which was designed for Minecraft Beta 1.2 and was primarily a survival challenge map with no real goal. Several of the original map’s features can still be found in Sea of Flame II, though altered noticeably (for example, the original Victory Monument down the rabbit hole is covered with cobwebs, and the floating gravel trap nearby no longer unleashes creepers on the player).

Two versions of Sea of Flame II exist: one playable in Minecraft Beta 1.7.3, and one for Minecraft 1.2.5 (with potions and enchanted bonus loot). This wiki covers only the latter version. For optimal balance, do not play this map in a later version of Minecraft.

Vechs is a Minecraft Map Maker, YouTuber, Twitch Streamer and Mindcracker known for creating the Complete The Monument (CTM) genre and the iconic map series: Super Hostile. In April 2012 his Super Hostile Maps had over 1,385,000 downloads and he has since lost track of the stats.

Vechs is passionate about many aspects of gaming and enjoys poking “under the hood” to make custom maps for friends (and now the Minecraft community at large). He has a reputation (deserved, to be sure) for being something of a “troll” to friends and fellow gamers.

History

Vechs published the first 3 Super Hostile maps on 4th March 2011 as Survival maps. These were Sea of Flame, Endless Deep and Infernal Sky. Later, during the making of Kaizo Caverns, he invented the genre ‘Complete the Monument’ in which the player must collect 16 coloured wool and 3 metal blocks for a ‘Victory Monument.’ (In Waking Up, an additional redstone ore is also required.) In 2012, Vechs was commisioned by Andi Buchanan, the author of the book ‘Waking Up’ to make a very hard map of it. It was later decided that Vechs should ‘adopt’ the map as a Super Hostile. Vechs announced on 22 May 2013 that he was joining the Mindcrack Server, a Minecraft private, whitelisted server for popular Minecraft LPers started by Guude. However, he did not actually start it until 9 August 2013. Vechs did his first Mindcrack Ultra Hardcore season in Season 14, in which he was teamed up with Zisteau (which was one of the teams a lot of people were hoping for).
