i added even more variations and removed the standalone dark variants.
instead every base item is now colorable.
you can use a mod like Armour Colouration Shop:

alternatively a mod can add a color scheme to the nameless faction (that is your faction)
and any time one of your members equips any piece of colorable gear it will be dyed in
your faction colors, IF it does not have a color assigned to it yet.

i have added a step-by-step guide to choose your own color, using my mod as a base in the description of it.
installing this mod will make all dyable clothing black.
once an item is colored its state is saved and cannot be changed.
