Mineshafts and Monsters
Forewarning:
This is not a topic for requests, this is the topic for downloads. I have a separate post with all the ideas that I plan to add. The link is in my signature and I will also post it here. I am aware that there are many RPG mods for Minecraft, but I try to make most of the items and mobs very close to the actual Dungeons and Dragons game. All the objects right now are «Test» items and blocks, but also fully functional. I will most likely change a lot of things, so back up any worlds. Expect to see a lot of new mobs and village generation in the future.
One main item in Dungeons and Dragons is a sunrod. The sunrod is essentially a torch, but rather that using fire as a light source, it uses magic. To make a sunrod, do the following.
Make a Raw Glowgold nugget:
Put it in a furnace:
Make a few shafts out of it:
And add glowstone to the top:
Currently, it doesn’t do anything at all, but I plan to add a special effect to it once I learn how to code better. I plan on making any block, upon right clicking with the sunrod, increase its light value to about one-fifth the light of a torch.
There are 5 currently new ores. They are rubies, sapphires, emeralds, topazes, and amethysts. At the moment, they don’t drop their corresponding gem, but I plan on fixing that soon.

Crystallite is a strange, luminescent substance that is created by the refractive properties of light and gemstones. It is not an authentic DnD item, but I made it to practice my coding.

So far, the spells that I have do nothing. I plan on allowing you to learn the spells by right clicking them, or by making you learn them from a trainer. Spell books will be learn-able, but the scrolls will be consumed upon use, requiring more scrolls to cast more spells.

There are more items than these, but they do nothing and will probably be removed later. Check the idea thread to add any ideas and suggestions, and find out what I plan on adding next.
If you have any coding knowledge and would like to help mod or texture, PM me and we will be able to work on this project together.
Special thanks to:
Muserae: For the tutorials that I learned most of my knowledge from.
Rhodox: For allowing me to use his textures for the mod. Check out his texture pack at painterlypack.net
