If you are experiencing any issues, bugs or glitches, hop on over to the Troubleshooting & Known Bugfixes article to see if your issue is listed. This list only includes bugs that can be fixed by the player rather than the developers. The issues presented in the post are not relevant for everyone, as not everyone may experience them. Bugs with scripts and other in-game features will be handled by the team and don’t have direct solutions.
The mod is being remade, and most of the current information will be outdated on the new release.
There is currently no estimated release date for the new version, but the previous ones are still playable.
Greetings, everyone, and welcome to our sixth blog! This will be a very short update to announce the opening of our Discord server! On it you will find some new RWII content, get announcements, and get to talk with the devs, it will also host Age of Sword & Sorcery content, and a few mystery side projects I myself have been working on, so definitely join if you’re interested in RWII and AoS&S.
We’ve been noticeably quiet as of late, unfortunately Reus and myself have been a little busy; We have been developing RWII in small increments, but things are going very slowly at the moment so here’s what I have been thinking: Since we’re busy, we will need some fresh blood to help develop the mod. We need sceners, especially. We’ll also take on coders, and writers, so if you’re interested send me a DM on ModDB, or join our Discord server and tell us you’re interested in helping us out.

The file is named The Red Wars 1.88 and not 1.90. Is that just a tiny mistake or have I done something wrong?
my mistake forgot to rename the original folder when I updated it from 1.88 to 1.90

Can you remove the world map textures? They make my game lag so bad and I have a monstrous computer. It makes this mod unplayable.
Also when can we expect an update to Blood and Steel, it’s probably the best mod ever made yet it has a few gamebreaking glitches that spoil it.
Blood and Steel is made by xenoargh, not this guy, so I don’t know why you’re asking that here. I don’t think he’s continuing Blood and Steel, but he has recently begun development on Blood and Steel 2.

The Red Wars was developed by some guys, then it was abandoned and recently revived by Lor Dric. Blood and Steel was made by xenoargh. Then there’s the Red Wars Blood and Steel version, but I can’t find any finished downloads for that, only the source code here: Moddb.com

In every version i play in red wars, i get stuck at the loading screen specifically the overthrowing government part. Help, i just wanted to try this masterpiece

Some issues I’ve found.
The village of sewacz is completely inaccessible
When encountering bandit parties as a freelancer in a lords army, no option is available to actually join the fight, only to leave, thus forcing the player to reload the game, or part with the army. This may only apply to bandits like the White Khergits.
Freelancers receive no equipment upon enlistment.
When promoted from Helvetian recruit to Helvetian soldier I received the whole uniform and the sword, but not the rifle or ammunition. Unknown if this applies to all ranks and factions. EDIT: Can confirm cross factional.
When ambushed by bandits in town at night, the bandits spawn right next to the player, leaving almost no time to react.
The melee animations for the Hunting Rifle w/Bayonet are broken. The rifle is carried on the back while the player wields an invisible spear.
Weapon stats in general are all over the place, certain pistols have pin point accuracy when most rifles have
65. The commader pistol pack a whollop at 45p and does so with
80 accuracy, where most pistols don’t reach anywhere near those number. More consistancy among weapon types would be appreciated.
Helvetia could probably use a couple more lords. Just having Puschkin and Pucin is too ineffectual. Two more should be enough to let Helvetia win a battle or two.
I’ll keep an eye out for anything else. I was going to suggest a few improvements to the set design, but there is clearly more important work to be done first.
I also noticed that Sewacz is completely inaccessible. It’ll be fixed next patch along with many other things. Thanks for mentioning these things. Really helps a lot when players report the bugs they have found so I don’t have to play multiple saves myself to test every bit of the mod for bugs.
Resuce or ransom a prisoner quest cannot be done. We need a door to the prison, not only the prison guard 🙂 or else we cant go to prison when we got the keys. Im stuck on calmarr, albion territory, i dont know if the same issue is with every other city. THX!

Yep, discovered this myself as well. It’s one of the things I’m currently looking into.
When are full auto weapons gonna actually be fully automatic? Also Balionic Cavalry doesn’t always spawn as cavalry; most of them spawn on foot rather than horseback. Really glad to see this mod is being worked on again, I’m hype af for you guys! Great work. 😀
I’ll look into the cavalry thing. Aren’t automatic weapons already automatic, though? I recall buying some machine gun and it seemed to work properly. Have you tried other automatic weapons?
I can confirm it. Oddly enough it’s only an issue with the AI. The Helvetian Black Coats will only fire off single shots from their AKs, but when I pick it up it sprays all over the place.
