The faces in the game frankly look offputting, this mod simply aims to slightly alleviate their offputting nature.
The changes below are not made to every face in the game, only the ones I found to be the more relevant ones for people to pick to play with.
This means it alters 15+ faces in different ways.
Changes made include but are not limited to.

This is a retexture mod, it does not alter the character meshes.
One needs to alter character meshes to change facial features, such as nose size, eye size, wrinkles etc.

I don’t like the vanilla character customization options, so i made a few nicer looking face textures to use. This only edits the 2D textures, and not the models themselves, so the range of improvements I can make is limited, but I feel as though they are big improvements.
*side note* Huge thanks to Sinai from the discord for making the partiality version of this mod.
This mod works with Partiality, (recommended) this is the current way to install most Outward mods, and downloading it now will save you headaches in the future.
- if this is your first time using partiality time using partiality, download it
- open partiality, press File > Choose game > navigate to your outward folder and select «Outward.exe»
- enter «794260» as the game ID in partiality
- click «apply mods» and then «no».
- unzip/copy-paste the mod files into the outward directory, merge the files.
- click «apply mods again» and launch the game
(If you are using BepInEx Partiality Wrapper instead, you will want to place «sideloader.dll» in bepinex\plugins\ instead.
— be warned, i do not use BeplnEx, so this may or may not work.)
— instead of the main mod, download «non-partiality version» under optional files.
— Go to the Outward_Data folder, if you’re on the steam version it should be under:
steamapps > common > Outward > Outward_Data
-Drop the «resources.assets» file for this mod into the Outward_Data folder and override the current file.
WARNING: Due to this file overriding the «resources.assets» file, this will override any mod that uses that file. it should only effect visual texture mods that effect the player character but it will depend on what other mods you have.

Привет. Меня зовут Кейн. Со мной ты сэкономишь до 5 часов на поиск модов для Outward.
А еще научишься их устанавливать и избежишь ошибок, которые я допустил, разбираясь.
ВАЖНО: В гайде не будет модов, которые ломают баланс, который задуман разработчиком. Я выбрал лишь те модификации, которые обогащают геймплей и делают его удобнее. Погнали.
UPD: Если ты не хочешь запариваться, тратить около часа и настраивать точечно игру под себя, загляни в конец гайда. Там тебя ждут готовые сборки модов. Качаешь, извлекаешь, кайфуешь.
Движком Outward является Unity. А значит нам нужно установить среду, которая позволит запускать модификации на этом движке. NexusMods предлагает две: BepInEx и Partiality.
Я сделал выбор в пользу BepInEx, которая обновляется чаще и поддерживает моды, сделанные для среды Partiality. Приступаем к подготовке среды для установки модов.
ВАЖНО: Перед началом работы сделайте резервную копию ваших сохранений!
Они лежат по пути \Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Outward\SaveGames
Просто сделайте архив папки SaveGames и скопируйте его на Рабочий стол.
Шаг 1. Переводим Outward в Steam в режим бета-версии.
Заходим в библиотеку Steam, находим Outward и жмем «Свойства». Находим раздел «Бета» и выбираем версию Public default branch (mono). Ждём, когда Steam докачает файлы.
Как устанавливать плагин: просто закидываем содержимое в папку Outward, извлекая.
Ура, вы восхитительны! На этом не останавливаемся, продолжаем.
Шаг 4. Устанавливаем набор инструментов SideLoader.
SideLoader — это набор инструментов для разработки API и модов для Outward.
Регистрируемся на NexusMods и загружаем архив Outward SideLoader [github.com]
Помещаем архив в папку с игрой и извлекаем содержимое.

Шаг 5. Устанавливаем менеджер модов Shared Mod Config.
Shared Mod Config — удобная софтина, доступная из главного меню игры.
Она позволяет настраивать моды и включать/отключать их в удобном интерфейсе.
Загружаем архив [www.nexusmods.com] и извлекаем его содержимое в папку с игрой.
Рекомендуемые моды:
1. Combat HUD [www.nexusmods.com]
Мод показывает HP, стамину и ману персонажа в цифрах. Имеет таймеры баффов и дебаффов.
Отображает наносимый и получаемый урон в цифрах. Обязателен к установке.
2. MoreMapDetails [www.nexusmods.com]
Мод показывает расположение на игровой карте персонажей, союзников и рюкзаков.
По умолчанию показывает расположение противников, при желании можно отключить.
3. Linked Stash Chests (Updated) [www.nexusmods.com]
Мод связывает все хранилища персонажей. Таким образом, из каждого города вам всегда будет доступно содержимое вашего склада. Полезный и удобный мод для комфортной игры.
4. Better Targeting [www.nexusmods.com]
Автонаведение в игре реализовано не лучшим образом. В бою с несколькими противниками таргет может прыгать Мод призван исправить эту ситуацию. Есть кнопка для смены цели.
5. Extended Quickslots (Reworked) [www.nexusmods.com]
Количества быстрых слотов в игре к концу игры может стать недостаточно.
Мод Extended Quickslots призван исправить эту ситуацию. Количество можно выбирать.
6. Drink while running [www.nexusmods.com]
Простой мод, дающий возможность пить на бегу. Удобно, не слишком дисбалансно.
7. Mouse Wheel Zoom [www.nexusmods.com]
Лёгкая и понятная модификация. Позволяет приближать и отдалять камеру колесом мыши.
Вместе со следующим модом даёт интересный эффект и разнообразит ощущения от игры.
8. Hide HUD [www.nexusmods.com]
Скрывает интерфейс при нажатии кнопки. Отличный вариант для красивых скринов.
9. New Game Plus [www.nexusmods.com]
Модификация позволяет начать НовуюИгру+ (по аналогии с Souls играми), где ваш новый персонаж при выборе Наследия (Legacy) получит не только ценные предметы, но и навыки прежнего персонажа. А мир и населяющие его противники станет сложнее. Отличный вариант для тех, кто хотел открыть все ветки навыков легально и без читов.
1. Raid Mode [www.nexusmods.com]
Модификация, призванная усилить монстров и боссов при игре в группе от 3 игроков и выше. С каждым новым присоединившимся игроком монстры становятся жирнее и сильнее.
Пример: у Золотого лича было 6500 здоровья при обычных 1500 в оригинальной игре.
Очень советую попробовать мод с нового прохождения тем, кто возвращается в Outward.
2. Custom Multiplayer Limit [www.nexusmods.com]
Позволяет из внутреигрового меню увеличить максимально-доступное число игроков в онлайне.
Рекомендовать не стану. Вы получите наибольшее удовольствие, если будете проходить игру, имея определенную сложность и ограничения в геймплее, близкие к задумке разработчиков.
Из тех, которые хочу выделить особенно:
Unlimited Rune Works (Updated) [www.nexusmods.com]
Мод, который делает ветку Rune Magic полноценной и универсальной магической дисциплиной. С помощью модификации вы получаете доступ к ловушкам и дистанционным атакам всех элементов. Игру упрощает, но делает комфортнее. Использование не осуждаю.
Несколько подсказок по использованию:
1. Фонарь (Fal+Dez) позволяет снять элементальный чант. По-умолчанию элемент «Молния»
2. Выбрать элемент можно через х2 (двукратный) вызов руны. Пример: Shim + Shim = «Огонь»
3. Лечение персонажа теперь идёт в формате Dez + Egoth + Dez + Egoth
Если хочешь сделать игру сочнее, а картинку резкой, поставь фильтр VanillaFX с NexusMods.
Он не кушает FPS и делает игру заметно красивее.
Установка:
1. Загружаем фильтр VanillaFX [www.nexusmods.com] и кладём в папку с файлами сайта.
2. Загружаем инсталлер ReShade [reshade.me] с официального сайта разработчика.
3. Выбираем DirectX 11,12 и жмем везде «ок», не меняя стандартные параметры.
4. Заходим в игру, жмём Home и завершаем установку, нажав «ок»,»ок», «finish’.
5. В выпадающем списке сверху выбираем VanilllaFX и жмём «Select».
6. В горизонтальном меню «Settings» указываем кнопку «Scroll Lock» для «Effect Toogle Key».
Готово, вы восхитительны! Теперь при нажатии Scroll Lock будет включаться фильтр VanillaFX.
Опубликовав гайд, я решил пойти дальше. И сделал несколько готовых сборок модов.
Зачем тратить час на настройку, если можно извлечь один архив и комфортно играть?
Подготовка минимальная: заходим в свойства Outward в библиотеке Steam, выбираем в меню «бета-версии» режим default-mono и дожидаемся, пока Steam загрузит нужные файлы.
Если не знаете, какую брать или нет большой разницы — качайте рекомендованную.
Классическая сборка модификаций
Набор модификаций, наиболее близких к оригинальной игре. Визуальное улучшение картинки, скрытие HUD, возможность зума через колёсико мыши, возможность сидеть.
Кому подойдет: если это ваше первое прохождение и вы не хотите получить НИКАКИХ внутреигровых преимуществ от установки модификаций. Лишь визуальное улучшение и пару приятных фишечек.
Моды: VanillaFX HDR, EnableSitting, HideHUD, MouseWheelZoom.

Рекомендуемая сборка модификаций
Оптимальный баланс между комфортом и оригинальной задумкой разработчиков.
Кому подойдет: практически всем, кто хочет сделать первое и последующие прохождения комфортнее. Внутреигровой HUD, подсвечивание цифр урона, дебаффов, отображение союзников на карте, возможность пить на ходу, моментально поднимать предметы, возможность расширение быстрых слотов, объединенные сундуки по всем городам..
В эту сборку я не включал моды, которые существенно ломают геймплей в пользу игрока.
Такая сборка представлена ниже.
Моды: VanillaFX HDR, EnableSitting, HideHUD, MouseWheelZoom.

Продвинутая сборка модификаций
Сборка подходит для тех, кто уже прошёл игру и ищет сложности/хардкора, а еще желает усилить своего персонажа.
В архив вошли: возможность управления мощностью монстров и боссов, усиление боссов при игре от 3+ человек в кооперативе. Возможность отменять атаку и делать кувырок после. А еще возможность начать НовуюИгру+ (NG+) с текущими навыками и снаряжением, что позволит легально изучить все ветки навыков. И пройти все 4 фракции за одного персонажа.
