One of the things I love about Phasmophobia is the simplicity of its horror gameplay. It’s fresh and unique for a genre riddled with copy-and-paste jumpscare titles. My only gripe is that over time (especially playing CO-OP) the horror effect starts to dwindle.
This game does a tremendous job audibly setting the atmosphere, but the Unity engine has a very bland and boring palette that doesn’t do enough justice for the horror genre. At least not without some work.
But why rely on the developer for that work when we can just reshade?
I’ve divided this process into two main parts.
Part 1) Reshade Installation
First and foremost all the credit here for this mod goes to the Kinetic Games development team for Phasmophobia and the team of extremely skilled and dedicated authors behind the Reshade project.
