The core files for the Giddy-up! series. Does not add anything on its own but the other mods in the series depend on it. The purpose of this series is to add mounting in as many aspects of the game as possible. Each mod released in the series will focus on one major aspect.

Any animal can be used as mount, even modded animals, and no patches are needed. By default, small animals are disabled. There is one thing to take into account when adding modded animals. Pawns are by default drawn on top of- and in front of the animal. However, sometimes it looks nicer when pawns are drawn behind the animal (most of the times this is when the animal has a long neck or when it has horns). The drawing priority can be configured for each animal in the mod options. For vanilla animals these settings are already configured, but for modded animals you may need to change the drawing priority for some animals in order to make it look nice.

This will allow me to gradually release new mods that involve mounting, without having to publish and maintain duplicate code that handles mounting for each release. I could have chosen for one big mod instead, but I like to give people the choice of what they want to install. Moreover, this simplifies testing for me, and enables other developers to use my code in their mods.

— Fixed issue of not loading the mounted state properly when reloading the game
— Giddy-up Ride and Roll: Improved auto mount mechanic. Decision whether the auto-mount or not should be better now.
— Giddy-up Caravan: Changed how caravan speed is modified. The vanilla mechanic is used instead. You can still configure which animals
are ridden by which pawns, so they ride them when leaving/arriving. But this is not mandatory.
— Giddy-up Caravan: Changed what animals can be ridden in vanilla so that it matches what you configured in Giddy-up.

If animal names are still appearing in English in the mod settings after switching to another language, this can be fixed by changing anything (doesn’t matter what) in the mod settings and closing the mod settings. If you then re-open the settings, the right translations should appear.

Feel free to add this mod to modpacks or to use the code or icons for other projects. Do however not release exact copies of my project, or exact copies with minor adjustments without my consent.

I’m currently no longer active as modder because I’m working on my own game now. I do intend to keep my mods alive, but won’t add any new content.

Cursed crew is a roguelike crew management game taking place on a 17th century ship in a fantasy setting. Giddy-up Caravan! is packed with the following features:

Faster world travel
Ever felt that traveling through the world map is just too slow? With this mod, you can get to your destination on the world map more quickly using the animals you have trained. In the form caravan dialog, you can select for each animal what colonist should ride it. This improves caravan movement speed in different ways. First, the animal’s movement speed is used instead of the colonist’s when the caravan map speed is calculated. Moreover, if every colonist is riding an animal, a large movement bonus is applied (configurable in the mod options). If not, a small movement bonus is applied, that depends on the ratio between riding pawns and not-riding pawns, and a maximum value that can be set in the mod options. There is one downside to riding animals in a caravan though: the carrying capacity of the animal is decreased by the weight of the pawn that rides it.

NPC mount usage
Visitors and traders also use mounts! What mounts they use can be configured in the mod options. By placing NPC mount spots (in Architect->Zone/Area), you can control where NPCs park their animals.

Support for any animal

Configurability
Almost anything can be configured, so take a look at the mod settings of both Giddy-up! Core and Giddy-up Caravan.

First make sure you have tamed animals with obedience training. Then in the from caravan dialog, make sure both riders and animals are selected to be part of the caravan. After this you can set riders for each animal in the same dialog.

-Mods: This mod uses harmony and should be compatible with most mods. However, i cannot test all mods so please report any problems with mod compatiblity. Check out the full list of compatibility notes on the mod page of Giddy up! Core.
-Music: Very compatible with this song.
-Existing saves: Can be used without problems
-Removing from saves: Can be done, however, make sure no pawns are mounted in the save when removing the mod, as that will cause issues.

Привет, добавьте пожалуйста патчи Recruit Mod Compatible Patch к этим 4 роботам, а то в базовый мод на этой странице они видимо не входят, но на стиме у автора они есть. Поймал 2х каратистов в Пойме, а диалога на рекрут нет. 🤔

После установки мода куда то убежали Король доспехов и продавец робо-частей в Чёрной пустыне, вместо них теперь полицейские участки))) Если продавца из Чёрной пустыни мне ещё как то удалось вернуть, поковырявшись в FCS и убрав «лишние» магазины, то вот Короля доспехов я так и не отыскал.

Вообще люблю всякие моды на изменение AI в игре. Когда тестировал этот мод, Тестовым персонажем дал по голове лорду Фениксу, на плечи его и давай тикать оттудова.

А перед моим носом стража ворота закрыла, я конечно в итоге смотался через другие, с пленником на плече, но и мне нормально так прилетело от стражи.

Позволяет в караване использовать животных в качестве наездников. Скорость передвижения каравана увеличивается. Караваны других фракций также могут использовать эту фишку.

Giddy-up! Ride and Roll

Позволяет колонистам автоматически сажаться на животных, чтобы быстрее преодолеть заданное расстояние. Также добавлена возможность разрешать / запрещать к автоматическому передвижению на животном. После спешивания, животное некоторое время будет ждать колониста, если вдруг колонисту понадобиться вернутся назад также на животном.

Мод работает со старыми сохранениями

Мод позволяет оседлать прирученных механоидов. Изменить разные параметры можно в настройках мода (в игре).

Повторять, пока не будет найден конфликт.

Мод очень весёлый. Даже на первых порах какая-нибудь хаски уже будет крайне полезной, ведь её можно научить покорности и вуаля — теперь её можно седлать, а бегает она шустрее ваших колонистов.
Естественно, самое веселье это моды на всякое зверье, где будут специальные птички,аля Чокобо, которые носятся в пару раз шустрее чем колонисты, а в зависимости от разновидности ещё й могут заклевать….
Отличный мод, однозначно надо брать.

К стати… конфликт «Giddy-up! Caravan» с «Save Our Ship 2»: в караван не отправляется маунт(просто остаётся в поселении).

Как оседлать животное? (Все животные обученные)
