Последняя версия DarthMod, которую мы сегодня и представляем, отличается от того, что автор делал прежде. Она и весит соответственно уже более 500 мб. Это двойной мод, который не только меняет поведение ИИ в RTW и BI одновременно. Он также включает несколько провинциальных кампаний, подобно тому, как это сделано в популярном МОДе «Первый Триумвират». Самый масштабный из этих сценариев, который представляет наибольший интерес, кампания на большой карте «Europa 270 B.C.». И сценарий на карте стандартных размеров, но с любопытным балансом «Пуническая война». Есть и другие, которые наверняка вас заинтересуют. Карты в них очень похожи на оригинальные, но во всем властвует новый ИИ от Дарт Вейдера и его собственные новации.
Юниты в DarthMod взяты из различных другим модов и немного разбавлены войсками из оригинальной игры. Зато баланс юнитов отшлифован, что делает битвы более интересными.
Кстати, о битвах. В DarthMod добавлена модификация исторических битв от Ninja, и Дарт Вейдер обещает незабываемые впечатления от исторических сражений.
Дабы на деле проверить искусственный интеллект, была запущена кампания о Пунической войне. Скажу сразу, сама кампания не принесла особого удовлетворения. Она получилась короткой и на стратегическом уровне довольно простой. Мало количество городов, привело к тому, что потеря одного города делала римские фракции сильно ослабленными, а два города – означали катастрофу.
Однако тактически битвы настоящему порадовали. Они не оказались откровением, но чувствовалось что у моего оппонента появились мозги.
УСТАНОВКА DARTHMOD
Мод ставится предельно просто. В папку RTW-BI 1.6 инсталлируете сначала мод DarthMod 8.0_Dark Edition. Затем в эту же папку нужно поставить DarthMod 8.1 Patch Final. Все. Мод готов к употреблению.

So this mod cannot be «mod-foldered», meaning that it will affect permanently your game installation and you will not be able to play «Vanilla» Multiplayer anymore. Furthermore, if you want to uninstall the mod, you will also have to re-install the game or repair it with Steam (via «Verify Integrity of Game Cache»).

It is advised that after you install DarthMod Rome you disable Steam’s automatic updates for the game.
Alexander is a separate expansion pack so this addon does not affect your RTW and BI campaigns but enhances only the Alexander expansion with DarthMod Gameplay and AI.
Installation instructions
1) Uninstall any other mod you may use for Rome: Total War Alexander and re-install the game or repair it via Steam (not needed if your game is freshly installed or you have v9.0)
2) Follow the installer guidance
(it automatically finds the correct install path and warns you if it finds an error)
3) Play the game by using the official EXE
