Simple Voice Chat
Table of Contents
You need to have the Fabric version of this mod installed on your client in order to use the voice chat!
You can download it from here.
You also need to have ProtocolLib installed on the server.

Features
Icons
When other players talk in the voice chat, you see a little speaker icon next to their name.
When you are talking (Either PTT or voice activation), you see a little microphone icon in the bottom left corner of your screen.
If a player deactivated their voice chat, you see a striked out icon next to their name.
You are seeing the same icon in the bottom left corner of your screen if you deactivate the voice chat yourself.
If you mute your microphone (Voice activation only), you will also see an indicator icon on your screen.
If you or another player loses the connection to the voice chat they will have an icon indicating that. You will also see this icon if a player does not have this mod installed.

You can open the voice chat GUI by pressing the V key. This allows you to open the settings, group chats, mute yourself, disable the voice chat and hide all icons.
Group chats allow you to talk to players that are not in your vicinity. To open the group chat interface, either press the group button in the voice chat GUI or just press the G key.
To create a new group, just type a name in the text field and press the button next to it.
To join an already existing group, click the group in the list below the text field.
Creating or joining a group will bring you into the group chat interface. You will also see the heads of the group members in the top left corner of your screen. Talking players will be outlined. You can disable these icons by pressing the third button from the left.
Players that are not in a group will see a group icon next to your head, indicating that they can’t talk to you.
You can invite players to your group chat by entering the command /voicechat invite
You can access the voice chat GUI by pressing the V key and pressing the settings button.
This menu offers the ability to change the general voice chat volume and your microphone amplification. In addition, there is the possibility to specify the recording and playback device.
By clicking the ‘Enable microphone testing’ button, you can hear your own voice and adjust the activation level of the voice activation.
By pressing the ‘Adjust player volumes’ in the voice chat settings, you can adjust the individual volumes of each player.
You need to open a port on the server. This is port 24454/udp by default. Without opening this port, the voice chat will not work. This port can be changed in the server config. More information here.
This mod does only work when connected to a dedicated server. You need to have this mod installed on the server and the client for it to work.
The Fabric version of this mod allows you to join with vanilla clients, but you won’t be able to use the voice chat features.
The voice chat is encrypted, but I don’t guarantee the security of it. Use at your own risk!
Installing Voice Chat Mods
Aternos supports the following voice chat mods:
— Gliby’s Voice Chat Reloaded for Minecraft versions between 1.8.9 and 1.12.2
— Simple Voice Chat for 1.15 and 1.16 using Forge or Fabric
To run the voice server these plugins need an open port on your Minecraft server.
Gilby’s Voice Chat Reloaded doesn’t need to be configured for this since it uses your server port by default. You only need to install it on your PC and the server.
Simple Voice Chat doesn’t do this which means you need to configure the port manually.
Finding your port
You can see your port by clicking the connect button in the server section. If you click it the following window will pop up:
The port in this example is 52713. Your port will probably be different!
Configuring the mod
To generate the configs you first need to install the mod and then start your server. After that, you need to stop the server again. It’s important that your server is offline while you change the config because the mod will overwrite it otherwise.
If you’re using forge, you can find the mod’s config file by opening your world folder and clicking on ‘serverconfig’. The file you want to edit is named ‘voicechat-server.toml’.
For fabric that file can be found by going to files, then config, voicechat, and opening voicechat-server.properties.
Here you want to change ‘port = 24454’ to your server port. In this example that is 52713. Now you just need to start your server again and you can use the voice chat.

Создав группу или присоединившись к ней, вы попадете в интерфейс группового чата. Вы также увидите головы членов группы в левом верхнем углу экрана. Говорящие игроки будут обведены контуром. Вы можете отключить эти значки, нажав третью кнопку слева.
Игроки, не входящие в группу, будут видеть значок группы рядом с вашей головой, что означает, что они не могут с вами разговаривать.
Вы можете пригласить игроков в свой групповой чат, введя команду: /voicechat invite ник
Настройки
