Пользователь Steam под псевдонимом The Dreamer разработал простой мод для SOMA, который заставляет монстров обходить игрока стороной. На удивление, игра от этого не становится скучнее или менее пугающей, а, напротив, приобретает неожиданную глубину.
Ужас и паника от постоянной беготни сменяются чувством странного беспокойства и тоски, одного лишь дизайна мира и того, как выглядят и двигаются населяющие его чудища, вполне достаточно, чтобы по спине время от времени пробегали мурашки.
Потерянные, бесцельно бродящие искусственные монстры узнают в тебе своего и лишь провожают вопросительными взглядами, не решаясь напасть. Продвигаясь по мрачным коридорам, есть время оглядеться, проникнуться гнетущей атмосферой окружения.
Это наделяет игру новой гранью, привносит элемент неспешного исследования, в ходе которого чувство экзистенциального ужаса перед неестественным и пугающим будущим на подводной станции пробирает насквозь и оставляет в сознании ледяные осколки бессмысленной тревоги.

1.Extract the content where you want (for example, to Desktop).
2.Open the folder that you extracted, and double clik to «Mediator.exe».
3.In the bottom left, click «Add» and select «Soma.exe» in the main folder of the game and «Confirm».
4.On the right, open the dropdown menu arrow (to the left of the «Delete» button) and choose «Soma ReShade + DoF» or «Soma ReShade» if you don’t want depth of field.
IMPORTANT! Turn off in-game Antialiasing!
The depth of field can cause problems reading the subtitles sometimes. Nothing to worry about it, if, unlike me, you know English well.

Introduction
SOMA: Cutting Room Floor is a project that aims to restore content that was cut from the final release by the developers but still present in the games files. While there are no exceedingly drastic changes to the overall game it is worth keeping in mind that this content was cut for a reason, and can alter the experience that Frictional Games originally intended. Therefore it is highly recommended that you refrain from using these mods if you have not already played the game, as the Cutting Room Floor is aimed at returning players who wish to experience a different take on SOMA.
As the restorations vary in quality and immersion each change is uploaded as an individual mod so you can leave out those which you don’t like the sound of.

Cutting Room Floor: Omicron Update!
The most recent update to CRF Omicron has brought about a change that I personally never thought I’d see. Thanks to SOMA modder Kevin Loodren, the unused «patchwork man’ enemy has been restored to a functional state and introduced into the mod. Previously only appearing as a static prop, he now will rise and pursue the player throughout the Omicron station.
The update also has introduced a few other minor features that I initially released. Diving through the thousands of lines of code associated with the map revealed many interesting sequences and events that had been removed from the final release by the developers. Most noticeable is the requirement to charge the battery pack before it can be used to power the suit. Aside from the restoration of a few missed dialogue lines the only other major restoration was the scares and hallucinations that Simon was supposed to experience throughout the site. It seems that the original intention was that Simon’s physical and mental condition degraded he would experience hallucinations as his circuitry begins to malfunction.
It’s painfully obvious why most of these ‘spook events’ were cut as they harm the atmosphere and feel quite out of place. I had to make the choice here between staying to the CRF vision of restoring all content that could possibly be restored or leaving it out in order to preserve the original atmosphere as much as possible.
In terms of Soma Cutting Room Floor I’m coming close to having restored most if not all of the cut content that is feasibly possible (unless the devs want to give me every build and voice line ever recorded 😉). Kevin is polishing of a function version of another cut enemy the ‘crawler’ which I will then implement probably in an update to CRF Upsilon. Apart from that next site that will be focused on is the Curie, which will be rather minor and see only the restoration of a few lines of dialogue and data-mines.
Additionally as I’ve been making these mods I’ve been compiling a document that details every single evidence of cut content that I could find within the game files. There is a huge amount of cut-content that got removed from the files been referenced only in script fragments. Some maps have leftover triggers that are evidence of whole new areas that never made it in.

Игра не запускается
Игра вылетает на рабочий стол без ошибок.
О: Скорее всего проблема в поврежденных файлах игры. В подобном случае рекомендуется переустановить игру, предварительно скопировав все сохранения. В случае если игра загружалась из официального магазина за сохранность прогресса можно не переживать.
SOMA не работает на консоли.
О: Обновите ПО до актуальной версии, а так же проверьте стабильность подключения к интернету. Если полное обновление прошивки консоли и самой игры не решило проблему, то стоит заново загрузить игру, предварительно удалив с диска.
Ошибка 0xc000007b.
О: Есть два пути решения.
Первый — полная переустановка игры. В ряде случаев это устраняет проблему.
Второй состоит из двух этапов:
Ошибка 0xc0000142.
О: Чаще всего данная ошибка возникает из-за наличия кириллицы (русских букв) в одном из путей, по которым игра хранит свои файлы. Это может быть имя пользователя или сама папка в которой находится игра. Решением будет установка игры в другую папку, название которой написано английскими буквами или смена имени пользователя.
Ошибка 0xc0000906.
О: Данная ошибка связана с блокировкой одного или нескольких файлов игры антивирусом или “Защитником Windows”. Для её устранения необходимо добавить всю папку игры в исключени. Для каждого антивируса эта процедура индивидуально и следует обратиться к его справочной системе. Стоит отметить, что вы делаете это на свой страх и риск. Все мы любим репаки, но если вас часто мучает данная ошибка — стоит задуматься о покупке игр. Пусть даже и по скидкам, о которых можно узнать из новостей на нашем сайте.
Отсутствует msvcp 140.dll/msvcp 120.dll/msvcp 110.dll/msvcp 100.dll
О: Ошибка возникает в случае отсутствия на компьютере корректной версии пакета Microsoft Visual C++, в который и входит msvcp 140.dll (и подобные ему). Решением будет установка нужной версии пакета.
После загрузки и установки нового пакета ошибка должна пропасть. Если сообщение об отсутствии msvcp 140.dll (120, 110, 100) сохраняется необходимо сделать следующее:
Ошибка 0xc0000009a/0xc0000009b/0xc0000009f и другие
О: Все ошибки начинающиеся с индекса 0xc0000009 (например 0xc0000009a, где на месте “а” может находиться любая буква или цифра) можно отнести к одному семейству. Подобные ошибки являются следствием проблем с оперативной памятью или файлом подкачки.
Размер файла подкачки должен быть кратен 1024. Объём зависит от свободного места на выбранном локальном диске. Рекомендуем установить его равным объему ОЗУ.
Если ошибка 0xc0000009а сохранилась, необходимо проверить вашу оперативную память. Для этого нужно воспользоваться функциями таких программ как MemTest86, Acronis, Everest.
Игра тормозит и лагает
Скорее всего данная проблема носит аппаратный характер. Проверьте системные требования игры и установите корректные настройки качества графики. Подробнее об оптимизации игры можно почитать на форуме. Также загляните в раздел файлов, где найдутся программы для оптимизации SOMA для работы на слабых ПК. Ниже рассмотрены исключительные случаи.
Появились тормоза в игре.
О: Проверьте компьютер на вирусы, отключите лишние фоновые процессы и неиспользуемые программы в диспетчере задач. Также стоит проверить состояние жесткого диска с помощью специализированных программ по типу Hard Drive Inspector. Проверьте температуру процессора и видеокарты —возможно пришла пора обслужить ваш компьютер.
Долгие загрузки в игре.
О: Проверьте состояние своего жесткого диска. Рекомендуется удалить лишние моды — они могут сильно влиять на продолжительность загрузок. Проверьте настройки антивируса и обязательно установите в нём “игровой режим” или его аналог.
SOMA лагает.
О: Причинами периодических тормозов (фризов или лагов) в SOMA могут быть запущенные в фоновом режиме приложения. Особое внимание следует уделить программам вроде Discord и Skype. Если лаги есть и в других играх, то рекомендуем проверить состояние жесткого диска — скорее всего пришла пора заменить его.
Проблемы с модами
Ошибки загрузки/обновления
Проверьте стабильность подключения к интернету, а также скорость загрузки. При слишком высоком пинге или низкой пропускной способности обновление может выдавать ошибки.
Если магазин или лончер SOMA не завершает обновления или выдает ошибки, то переустановите саму программу. При этом все скачанные вами игры сохранятся.
Запустите проверку целостности данных игры.
Проверьте наличие свободного места на том диске, на котором установлена игра, а также на диске с операционной системой. И в том и в другом случае должно быть свободно места не меньше, чем занимает игра на текущий момент. В идеале всегда иметь запас около 100Гб.
Проверьте настройки антивируса и “Защитника Windows”, а также разрешения в брандмауэре. Вполне возможно они ограничивают подключение к интернету для ряда приложений. Данную проблему можно решить и полной переустановкой магазина или лончера т.к. большинство из них попросит предоставить доступ к интернету в процессе инсталляции.
