Если собрались установить хоть один мод, патч нужен обязательно, без него игра даже не запуститься. Также с помощью патча можно отключать интерфейс и делать красивые скриншоты.
P.S Я не знаю дружат ли патч и руссификатор так что будьте осторожны.

Как установить мод?
Для установки мода вам потребуется создать папку addon в GameData, которая находится в корневой папке игры. В моем случае это:
D:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\Star Wars Battlefront II\GameData\addon
Теперь в папку аддон (если ее нет, создайте) и распаковав zip архив (если это нужно) мы скидываем все моды и карты, которые скачали, обычно это какие либо три буквы (TOR, MWP, ZER и тд). Кидаем её в аддон и запускаем игру. Все готово, мод установлен, приятной игры!
О нет игра не запускается, что делать?!
Проверьте кэш, стим загрузит все замененые файлы. Потом попробуйте снова, возможно вы что то напутали.
Моды хоть рабочие/сам то проверял?
Да, все моды о которых пойдет речь я проверил лично.
Моды не взаимозаменяемые?
Пока только я заметил что при установке «Extreme» исчезает «Coruscant: Modern Warfare». С другими проблем не было.

В 2017 году сервис GOG «реанимировал» серверы Star Wars: Battlefront 2. А совсем недавно стало известно о новом вышедшем для неё моде. Вернее, о выходе для неё обновлённой версии старого мода 2008 года выпуска.
Как бы то ни было, это чудо называется Star Wars Battlefront Conversion Pack и добавляет в игру более 20 новых карт и несколько режимов.
Среди локаций: Дюнное море, что на Татуине; Родина Мейса Винду планета Харуун-Кэл; и дом бледно-синих лысых гуманоидов Раттатак. Ко вторым относятся «Бой насмерть», «Командный бой насмерть», «Голокрон» и «Классический конквест».
Примечание! Данный мод работает на стандартных картах, но не на всех.
