Чтобы максимально упростить и ускорить процесс, нам нужно:
1. Завладеть Audacity либо использовать онлайн конвертер mp3-файлов. Например этот:

2. Создать папку с любым названием (желательно без пробелов), можно прямиком в директории steam>steamapps>common>Starbound>mods, внутри этой папки создать еще одну, под названием music.
3. В своем браузере открываем вики по Старбаунд, а именно страницу с названиями треков: https://starbounder.org/Music_Tracks.
Здесь показано точное правописание всех треков (неправильно написанный трек не будет звучать в игре) и за какой момент он отвечает. Общей чертой всех названий является дефис между словами, но к некоторым нужно добавлять другие слова или они вообще носят иное название.

Жмем на «файл», затем «открыть».
Из появившегося окна выбираем желаемый трек. В моем случае это ‘Escape from the Penthouse’. Затем начинает его редактировать так, как посчитаем нужным.
Когда трек устроит своим звучанием, нужно будет конвертировать его в ogg формат.
Алгоритм следующий: Файл>сохранить остальное>экспортировать как OGG.
Сейчас можно свернуть окно Audacity и прокрутить руководство вверх, чтобы глянуть название заменяемого трека.
Например, я хочу чтобы мой трек ‘Escape from the Penthouse’ заменил тему арены, потому я называю его «i-was-the-sun» (обязательно со строчной и обязательно через дефис!). Сохраняю в папке music.
Выбираем желаемый трек.
Настраиваем битрейт, если нужно (влияет на качество и вес трека), затем тыкаем в «преобразовать файл».
В папке нашего мода (не в папке music), создаем текстовый файл под названием _metadata.
Заходим в него через блокнот или Notepad+, вписываем следующее (в таблице показан мой пример, в поля вписывайте свою информацию):
Вот как всё это должно выглядеть.
Заходим в свою библиотеку, выбираем там Starbound. Жмём на ‘>Играть’.
В сплывшем окошке выбираем ‘Launch Mod Uploader Tool’.
Выбираем ‘Select mod directory’.
Выбираем папку mods, но дальше ничего не жмем, ничего не выбираем, просто тыкаем «Выбор папки».
Видим, что поля в аплоадере автоматически заполнились данными, что мы ранее вписывали в файле _metadata.
Заполняем всё что нужно и жмём на Upload to Steam!
Появится ползунок, показывающий прогресс загрузки мода. Он может длиться до двадцати минут, в зависимости от размера мода.
Как только ползунок исчезнет, мод будет загружен в Steam.

Hello! This simple mod just adds Sky Tower & more from the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon series to your songbook in Starbound.
I made this mod originally because I couldn’t find Sky Tower in any of the song packs I’ve seen on the workshop and on the internet.
