The War of the Worlds Mod (Minecraft Forge)
Experience a full-on Martian invasion in Minecraft. Spawn in your world and prepare for an assault from land, sky and water, from an overpowering alien force! Team up with your friends and enemies to defeat the Martians invading your world. Discover new and awesome items with the research system. Craft and build different weapons from different eras of Human and Martian history.
This mod is not for the faint of heart. If you’re new, we recommend easy mode. Your base will suffer, you will suffer, and most importantly your favorite Minecraft pets will suffer.

Research all your favorite blocks and items in Minecraft and new additions brought on by the Martian invasion! Use that research to get some new cool weapons and fight back the invaders.

The War Of The Worlds Mod is a survival-first mod it is intended to be played in that mode so that you will be very scared of the Martians blowing you up constantly all the time.

Ever wanted a reliable way to live underground? Well now there is! This mod adds many new blocks to find underground including a way to collect wood, food and other normally surface exclusive features!. Trust us you’re going to want to live underground for a while.

This mod wouldn’t be possible without the ASV team they played a big help. Yes i did some things and lead the team but they are the back bone of this project and other mods to come in the future.
HOW TO USE MOD
1. Make sure you got the required mod to use this mod (ASV Platform)
2. Go into mods and Activate ( ASV Platform) first and press confirm before activating this one
1. Increase the the vocal in the sound setting to hear tripod better
2. When using i recomeded using HARDCORE mode
3. Use maps that are supper big in hills and dosent have space for the tripod
4. (optional) night time so you can see tripods awsome lights
WHAT CAN THE TRIPODS DO?
1. when click on they can change their stance and move around to help find smaller troops
2. Has a big beaming light
3. Lazer that act like their won so they both shoot at separate things
4. Black smoke to kill troops that get to close to tripod
5. Has a insanely strong shield but not impossible at all
HOW TO FIGHT AS TRIPODS
1. make sure when using more then one Tripod to have one t o cover the other Tripod rear
3. Have 1 out of the 3 if there is 3 to be aggressive and push the lines supper hard disrupt military forces
4. deploy gas when needed
5. Target helicopters and APC first
HOW TO KILL THE TRIPODS FAST
1. flank them if possible
2. Have your units spread out but in large numbers
3. have your troops use every cover they can include buildings (increase survival time by alot)
4. Use the route when pushing towards the tripod with most natural and actual cover as Tripod view is 250 meters.
5. APC and attack helicopters are ganna be doing alot of damage as they shoot super fast for long times but every bit couts
WHATS ARE NEXT MOD?
We have already started working on another mod and its base around police its ganna be very nice and polish models. Alot of reused assets but our re-skinner really good at what he dose so it looks amazing. there will be police officers, swat and SAS and then there criminals and terrorist that will be in. The ASV team will most likely be involved in helping with this mod just not as much like this current mod.

Major heads up, it appears the models are broken for the moment due to a paradox issue with motorized (it appears). You may need to disable models for the moment. This is annoying, I know
This is the only official version of the mod currently available (not counting the separate music addon, or paradox mod version). If you obtain the mod on a third party site, then you’re playing an unofficial version which I can not guarantee the stability or safety of. Same goes for any donations, as of this time (though I am currently debating changing that) there is no official donation page for this mod.
Small public service announcement, the Martian AI is rather broken at the moment. There isn’t a whole lot I as a modder can do, however until the base game AI is improved I would recommend boosting the Martians in the pre-game set up if they’re going to be played by the AI.

1936 Start:
To guarantee the Martians show up, begin as the USA and play normally up until October, 1938. It is around this point the broadcast event should fire, choose the bottom option (called «Its only a matter of time»). Wait about a month and the Martians should begin their invasion.
To play the Martians from the 1936 start choose the bottom option in the invasion event (called «We should try and make peace»).
1938 Start:
Choose your desired country and begin, the war itself should start immediately after loading into the game. Although this is the easiest method to start playing the mod I would still recommend going from the 1936 start so that you do not miss any flavor events.
1939 Start:
Choose your desired country and begin, though be careful if you choose the United States as they are very close to capitulation. This is recommended for players who want to either have an even harder game as the humans, or want to experience the end game Martian events quicker.
