I am happy to announce I have recently found this mod after many years and I am even happier to announce that I will be sharing it here for everyone.

Лучшие моды для Dawn of War II

Игры из линейки Dawn of War 2 начали выходить ещё в 2009 году. Первая часть новой серии не слишком обрадовала игроков, уже привыкших к масштабным схваткам первой части и ее дополнений. Нас ждали прекрасная графика, отличная анимация и умопомрачительные эффекты, вот только баталии стали напоминать какие-то спецоперации терранов из Starcraft 2.

Никакого глобализма, никаких легионов, никакого размаха. Даже супероружие и мощные скиллы героев выглядели не особенно масштабно. Всё это напоминало обычные sci-fi битвы из других сеттингов, но никак не столкновения миллионов воинов.

В 2010 году вышло дополнение Chaos Rising, в котором помимо четырех основных рас игры (Космодесанта, Тиранидов, Орков и Эльдар), добавилась и пятая — Силы Хаоса. Появились и новые фишки, вроде Артефактов Света и Тьмы, от которых зависела судьба главного героя. Если используешь артефакты, связанные со скверной Хаоса, то и конечный путь для тебя будет несладкий. Но если сохраняешь веру в Императора и отвергаешь всё тёмное, то в самом конце игры становишься легендарным героем галактики. Всё гениальное просто.

Позднее в 2011 году выпустили новое дополнение — Retribution, которое не требовало предыдущих частей. Только вот здесь вышло всё куда хуже, чем даже вторая часть и Chaos Rising. Размаха снова никакого, обычные спецоперации коммандос, свойственные скорее другим сеттингам, чем легендарной Вахе. Новые расы хоть и добавились, но выглядели они крайне скудно в плане набора юнитов. Но самое худшее — это то, что авторы сделали для всех общую кампанию. Главной целью является уничтожении предателя-магистра Кровавых Воронов. Совершенно идентичные миссии за все играбельные фракции. А ведь как хотелось, чтобы кампаний было великое множество!

К счастью для данной серии есть неплохая моддинг-поддержка. Скилловые ребята и программеры до сих пор продолжают ваять прекрасные моды для всей серии Dawn of War 2. И только эти моды являются, пожалуй, настоящим украшением данных игр. В противном случае всё выглядело бы куда страшнее.

УСТАНОВКА МОДОВ

Моды на Dawn of War 2 устанавливаются нередко через Steam, соответственно и ссылки на их скачивание с Moddb страниц как правило ведут на Steam Community. По правде база моддинга для этой игры не так широко развита как, например, для самой первой части, но мы постарались представить как можно более известные проекты. Перед тем как устанавливать какой-либо мод, тщательно читайте инструкции. Для установки некоторых модов есть даже видео-туториалы, которые также можно найти на страницах Moddb.

Проблемы с модом

Если вам не нравится Оригинальное изображение инквизиции, то скачайте эту. Содержит 256×256, 48×48, 32×32 и 16×16 размеров в одном файле

Это очень небольшие настройки для DoW2. Вы можете заменить оригинальный серый курсор на DoW1 курсор, что допускает 4 цвета: зеленый (от DoW1), оранжевый (цвет Retribution), бирюзовый (того же цвета, как DoW2 интерфейс) и серый (как оригинальный курсор)

Имперской гвардии портреты имеют более низкое качество, чем другие портреты рас, и это какраз меняет эти дешевые портреты на что-то лучше. Имперской гвардии HQ на черном фоне и имеют очень низкую яркость. А лицо Диомеда, так выглядит менее хаотично. И фиксированной белой каймой иконы генератор хаоса.

Полностью совместима с Мультиплеером! Вы можете играть с этими портретами, но и другие игроки будут видеть только стандартные портреты.
