Custom FOV and player scale will distort or cause misalignment when using terminal or entering power armor or vault door animation. The
main point of this mod is to dynamically change FOV/scale during those moments. You don’t need this mod if those issues don’t bother you.
This mod adds an MCM menu that allows you to easily adjust various Field of Views and Player Height in-game, without messing up the Terminal Display and Pipboy. Settings are stored and will stay after restarting the game, settings are persistent across every saves.
Using Player.SetScale through console command causes Terminal/Power Armor/Vault door animations to misalign.
To remedy this, the mod dynamically change the FOV and Player Height via a small script to default (changeable) values when you are using Terminals/Power Armors/VaultDoorConsole.
The FOV and scale sliders are incorporated as a complete package for convenience.
Also make sure you have enabled modding by adding following lines into Fallout4Custom.ini :

Limitations & Known Issues
High FOV values can cause massive clippings, so use high FOV at your own discrete.
The Player Height affects the movement speed and potentially melee damage. Movements speed bug occurs when you change height and can only be fixed by restarting the game. Weapon reticles are be affected at high/low values.
There is also currently no way to implement PipboyFOV, the only way to do so is through «fov xx» console command while the Pipboy is opened. This is planned and will come eventually if I found a way to implement it.

Uhmmm looking at the provided screenshots, the FOV doesn’t really change at all. Only the weapon-render fov is altered. So the weapon and the pipboy menu will look like they’re farther away from you, but the distance fov (the scenery around you) is still exactly the same.
You don’t even need a mod for this, you can just use the console command to adjust both fov’s separately (e.g. fov 90 85).
If I’m wrong, you should really fix the screenshots. You can see the scenery doesn’t change at all between one shot and the other; it starts in the same tree and ends in the same tree. There are no additional objects being rendered or shown to the player. Literally the only difference is that the weapon looks like it’s further away.
That’s exactly what this mod intends to do, it’s just moving the ‘head’ node back by 4 units so you’re seeing more of your weapon, which was being rendered anyway, it’s not meant to give you extra FOV, because as you stated. We can all do that!
Hope this clarifies!
I posted about this last summer, and I assume we’re both on the right track and the mod creator was bullshitting. Contrary to what the two replies say, this mod claims to (and I quote) «reveal more of the world that was already being rendered, granting an increased FOV with no performance cost». It’s simply not the case, and it only effectively changes weapon FOV, which is something you can alter easily already, and has no ‘performance cost’ to speak of. Matter of fact, even if the mod did what it claimed and actually increased your real FOV, it wouldn’t really be netting you any sort of «FPS boost» unless you’re either struggling to hit 30 frames in Sanctuary or are playing in some insane FOV multi-monitor setup with ludicrous resolutions. And even then I doubt it’d be anything above a couple of frames. FOV has a really small impact on performance below the 100-110 mark (beyond that it might have a slight impact on weak systems), and even an old Quake MP veteran wouldn’t play F4 at 110+ FOV on a 16:9 screen comfortably.
So for anyone who actually eyed this with some sort of interest beyond pointlessly increasing all your weapon FOVs to impractical levels, don’t waste your time. Any ‘effect’ you might squeeze out of this will most likely be placebo.
Fallout 4 fov мод
yes. they are you defaults for if you verifyy your game cache im pretty sure. if you want to change them you can. i didnt and my fov change works so it should work for you aswell
Is this still ok to use? I notice its not been updated since Feburary. I was using it before to tweak ads fov, mouse acceleration and turn off the intro video.
It has a game difficulty setting mine was set to hard and I am wandering if thats what caused my saves to be changed to survival without the game asking me at all. It was the only «mod» I was using before the last patch.
You can open console in this beta build, you just press the @ key and right shift at the same time and bingo console is open then just type things in the old and simple way.

Does this work on Fallout 4 Beta Patches?
No, I do not provide updates for beta releases at this time. Please wait for official Fallout 4 patches.
How do I run this?
This is a standalone executable, installing via NMM will help you with update notifications, but you need to launch this program yourself manually. You can do this by either downloading this file manually and putting it on your computer (Desktop/documents/etc) or download it with the Nexus Mod Manager and run it from the Fallout4\Data folder.
Where are your changelogs?
Changelogs are always updated and are located on the «changes» tab on this mod page.
This wont start?! WHY?
Try running this as administrator. If that doesn’t work send me a screenshot of the error message. If you don’t get an error message check Windows Event Viewer for more information.
After using this tool I cannot edit settings in game?! WTF?!
This tool sets your configs to read only to prevent the game from overwriting the tweaks. If you want to edit your settings you can either press «Edit Launcher settings» or if you want to edit in game, go to settings and turn off read only mode and press save.
Where is Mouse Acceleration?
Mouse Acceleration was removed long ago because the setting assumed to turn it off (bForceIgnoreSmoothness) is actually a texture setting in Fallout4. There is no acceleration setting for this game.
Does this work with F4SE?
This works with any executable you want. Just go in Settings and change the executable to the program you want to use.
How do I Uninstall?
First, to revert your INI back to default, go into Settings > Restore Backup INI. If you’re using this app as your default launcher, also make sure to press «Click to Restore Original Launcher». Then, simply delete this program.
My terminal is broken! Minigames are too fast! Wierd things happening in game that shouldn’t. Help!
By turning off framerate lock(vsync) the game physics will become completely unreliable. Make sure to lock the framerates yourself by setting a cap (Nvidia Inspector) or turn on vsync in AMD/NVidia Control panel.
THIS IS A VIRUS. 111oneone
This is not a virus. I perform many tasks ranging from editng file attributes (Read Only mode), modifying the Registry (CPU Priority tweak), and accessing files in your Programs directory (Default game install directory). These actions + not being a AAA software developer, some AV products will flag my tool as potentially malicious as a CYA.
MY SAVES ARE GONE!!
You created a new save profile in the launcher without checking «Import existing saves» so you will have to manually move your saves from the Backup_Saves folder in Documents\My Games\Fallout 4\ to Documents\My Games\Fallout 4\Profiles\ProfileName\
MipMap Fix is forcing my textures to Medium.
The vanilla launcher isnt designed to accept custom values so it freaks out and displays an erroneous texture value. I assure you, its not setting textures to medium.
Can you add xxxx feature?
Please PM me feature requests, as its near impossible for me to keep track of feature requests in the discussions forum.
What does xxxx feature do?
Before asking this, please hover your mouse over the option to see what I wrote. 99% change if you ask me, i’ll give you the exact same description as in the program.
