Radiation

Avoid the radioactive materials if you do not possess the protection against them. Hazmat suit is good for avoiding both Uranium and Plutonium. If you feel sick after handling the materials, try to find the special, experimental radiation pills made by the personnel. Should be found in medical cabinets and on some tables around the lab.

Radiation is a mechanic in Mod of Redemption that causes players to become irradiated if they linger near radioactive material for lengthy periods of time, inflicting increasingly dangerous debuffs over time until the player dies. The Geiger-Muller accessory can be used to indicate if the player is susceptible to becoming irradiated.

The player’s radiation level is a value indicating the intensity of the player’s radiation. Different sources causes this level to increase, up to a maximum of 5. The level rising is not guaranteed, and has a chance every ingame frame to increase. The Hazmat Suit and HEV Suit both are capable of preventing low-level and medium-level radiation respectively, but some sources are so intense they can still increase the player’s radiation level.

A player who experiences radiation exposure will not suffer from debuffs, instead a hidden timer is started as soon as the player’s radiation level is above 1. The timer is set to

5 minutes and once the timer ends, the Headache debuff appears at random, followed by Fatigue and Nausea. If a Radiation Pill is not used in time, the Hair Loss and Skin Burn will add up, preventing the possibility to cure from the growing radiation poisoning and allowing the Irradiated debuff to occur, ultimately leading to the player’s death. There is a chance that the player will cure naturally from radiation poisoning instead of suffering from Fatigue and/or Nausea. The chances depend on the player’s radiation level, for instance a player with level 1 radiation will most probably cure naturally from it than one with higher levels, althrough this is not guaranteed to happen.

Abandoned Lab

The Abandoned Lab is a massive underground dungeon that generates upon world generation. Unlike other areas in Terraria, the Abandoned Lab has a static structure and will always be the same in all worlds. With its dangerous defenses and debuffs, the player must exercise caution prior to entering, it size is similar to temple.

The Abandoned Lab will always be generated at the same location, depending on map size:

It’s recommended to acquire the IO-Locator accessory and equip it before trying to find the lab.

The Abandoned Lab can only be initially visited in Hardmode, after the player has defeated all three Mechanical Bosses; attempting to visit the Lab prior will unleash invincible Laboratory Drones that will relentlessly attack the player. Following the defeat of the Mechanical Bosses, the drones will be deactivated, allowing access to a portion of the Lab, including the rooms containing The Janitor, Stage 3 Infected Scientist, and Irradiated Behemoth mini bosses, as well as a number of items from Petrified Wood Chests. Each mini boss drops a Lab Access Panel, which deactivates the laser security systems to unlock additional sectors of the Lab.

The Fallen is an NPC vendor that will spawn once the following conditions have been met:

Unlike other Town NPCs, the Fallen has no means to defend himself. However, he will spawn The Remnants upon death.

His prices are not affected by the Charisma Potion or the Discount Card.

MACE Project is a Post-Moon Lord mini boss found in the Abandoned Lab. It is the sixth and final mini boss of the Abandoned Lab. It fires fireballs, bombs and lasers in the first phase, and summons fists to attack in the second phase. It is summoned by right-clicking its specific monitor in the Omicron Sector of the Abandoned Lab.

While MACE Project is alive, the music Boreal Defendant will play.

Spawn [ ]

MACE Project does not spawn on its own and is only summoned by right-clicking the monitor in the Abandoned Lab’s Omicron Sector, unlocked after defeating Protector Volt.

Behavior [ ]

Phase 1 [ ]

MACE Project is initially stationary, hanging from the ceiling of the room. It will hit players with a variety of projectile attacks in a fixed order. The frequency and number of its attacks go up as it loses health.

At low health (about 33%), a warning alarm will sound as MACE Project switches out its attack order.

Phase 2 [ ]

Upon its initial defeat, MACE Project’s Jaw breaks off, leaving only the upper head behind. Its HP effectively refills, and it gains a new attack pattern. The order of its attacks is still fixed.

At 50% HP, MACE summons its two fists, which hover above players and try to line up with them. They occasionally pause and slam down to deal damage, creating a shockwave that travels along the ground on impact. While the fists are alive, MACE will take almost no damage from attacks, but will be immobile and unable to attack outside of an occasional laser.

Once the fists are destroyed, MACE Project continues its previous attack pattern until its defeat.
